Tired of Everyone Whining About How Broke They Are

Making $112,000 a month and broke.

David Hasselhoff: I'm Broke | TMZ.com

Certainly the first step is to review expenses and cut back. David is being smart about this. He's not cutting back on his real estate, retirement savings, cars, jewelry, art or other personal expenses. Just his ex-wife.

But when you've cut expenses down to the bone - your last $2 million - it's time to start looking at making some more money to be relevant.

Let's help out David with some ideas:

- There are 4000 products on Amazon tagged for David Hasselhoff.

- More than 10,500 Knight Rider products on Amazon.

- 8500 Baywatch products on Amazon. Sex sells folks!

I'm guessing he gets some small royalty from sales.

Over 20,000 products to fill a niche site, or many niche sites - each with a great marketing angle! Help David. He's broke and needs some fast sales.

Got a health, fitness or diet niche site? Help someone get their "Baywatch" body going and include related products.

How easy is that to spice up your site? Juice machine pictures are boring. Add in some Baywatch pix with affiliate links to Amazon and now you're showing people why they're drinking green stuff every day. Improve your conversions for your main products, get side products to advertise, and legitimately use pictures of Hasselhoff and his crew. Win baby!

Um, did you catch that implied celebrity endorsement strategy you can use for your site without paying for the celebrity? And using their pictures without worrying about copyright issues?

Does David have a fan club and mailing list? Probably not.

That could make some money.

Ya know what, you could start an unofficial David fan club site. Or, one for any celebrity. What is the fan club? An email list where every month you copy err rewrite some tabloid trash and include links to Amazon products.

Celebrities like Hasselhoff are easy pickings. Remember, we've got 20,000 products to choose from, just on Amazon. Enough products for several lifetimes of emails.

So easy - set up a free Google alert and get immediate news stories about Hasselhoff whenever they break. Someone else writes the story and you use it. Heck, you could be like Yahoo and blatantly copy the first paragraph of a story on another website, paste it in an email, and then link to the full story.

Does celebrity stuff like that ever go viral on Facebook? Yeah. Get your page on.

Got a IM / financial / money site? Use the same strategy as for the health site, but like this post you're using Hasselhoff's name for your purposes. Something like: The Knight Rider is broke! Here's how we would help someone in his position. Then your advice is stuff others could use, which you fit into your overall monetization.

So let's review:

- We've got niche ideas galore that aren't the same old boring debt and dogs stuff newbie IMers go for.
- We've got Google giving us content.
- We've got affiliate product links lined up.
- We've got a Facebook page.
- The autoresponder is locked and loaded.

Who knows, we may have something a reporter will pick up for some great publicity.

Gheesh, every time a Google alert popped up with a new story you could be adding a comment linking or referencing to your related website / Facebook page.

It's something we can have a lot of fun with, which means inspired passion to really go after the niche. Something beyond the puke generic Amazon review sites Warriors like to put up and then wonder they aren't making any money.

Who knows. After you've showed David the way and made him a few bucks, he may send you an autograph.

PS: Brian please check your PMs, sent you a new link :-)
Good stuff. A lot of these "news" sites are just picking up content from TMZ. Instead of only doing the daily SEO game for this stuff it could be in email. Patel's recent $100,000 per month challenge relied on sending emails with links to web content to generate a lot of the money.

Let me spill a secret you've never heard before: the money is in the list.

The great thing about celebrities and using Google alerts: there's always fresh info.

I'll check my PM as soon as Pamela's Baywatch slow motion video ends. Anyone with a swimsuit site? It should have a Hasselhoff / Baywatch page of what people can buy to look like celebrities.

Nice. Didn't think of the relationship niche or plastic surgery niche. Or combining the two.

Want a better relationship? Want to trade in for a new model? Using a formula proven by Hasselhoff, here are the products you need to buy and surgeon you need to visit ...

There's some big money to be made for sending leads.

Dang. There's niches and money ideas everywhere.

    This is awesome stuff!

The only thing I'd be concerned with is what pics/vids I could use with out violating copyright. I have lots of niche blogs that make me money in different ways, and I'm always super careful about using photos on my blogs that won't cause any copyright problems. Mostly I create my own images to avoid that stuff.

I suppose I could learn a better way to figure out what I can and cannot use without getting into any hot water.

I also have a quick question about the comment you made regarding using the first paragraph of a story in an email and then linking to the full story. Would that be just to provide content to your email list? I'm only asking because I'm not sure how you could monetize that. I guess my mindset as an affiliate is that I would probably never send my email traffic to a piece of content that I did not produce and monetize. I send traffic to affiliate sales pages, but that's making me money. I guess I would have to break the habit of thinking that when I send my email traffic to a site it has to be designed to make me money. Then again, by providing great content to your list you are building trust and improving your open and click-through rates because people are excited to get your emails.

Regarding lead sales, I have a pretty cool thing I have been doing a little on the side lately. I have not made any money from it, yet, mainly because I just don't have the time to devote to it since I'm constantly spending all of my time building my list, creating products, etc.

Anyway, in a nutshell what I do is build a 4 or 5 page business website for services like plumbers, HVAC, dentists, plastic surgeons, etc.

I find keywords that are pretty easy to rank for, and then I set up a site using a business website WordPress theme I have. For instance, I might build a site for the keywords "plastic surgeon phoenix." I set up the website to capture leads. I don't add them to an email list. I capture the email address and phone number and I have a WordPress plugin that just captures the info and if I want I can download it to a CSV file. I built around 10 sites so far, and I'm quite surprised at the amount of leads I've been getting.

Now, these leads are not like leads that you would get for let's say, building a niche in the "make money online," or even "the weight loss" niche, etc. These leads are VALUABLE. A new patient to a plastic surgeon or a dentist could mean hundreds or even thousands of dollars in revenue for that business.

Now, there are a few ways to moentize these sites. The first way, which is easiest, is to contact businesses in the area that you are collecting the leads for and offer to sell them for so much per lead. This is not really the most viable way to do it, because each lead is not a guaranteed sale and I've found that most of the busiesses I have approached have balked at the idea of paying for an email and phone number from someone they don't know in hopes that they will be able to convert that lead into a client.

However, there is a second way which is awesome and works great. You contact the business with a proposal and show them the site and offer to rent them that site for a set amount of money every month. Let's say you have a site that is producing 20-25 leads per month for the keywords "air conditioning service austin." You simply start contacting air conditioning companies in the Austin, Texas area and show them the website and explain that for a monthly fee you will rent them that website. The website will have their phone number on it, and you simply set up the contact form to forward the leads to their email address as soon as the information is submitted. They can then call these people pretty much right away and ask what services they are inquiring about and convert theminto a customer.

Like I said, I have not had the time to do this right, but I know of a couple of people who are making a killing from this business model.

Think about it. Let's say you charged $250 per month for a plastic surgery website. Even if the plastic surgeon renting the site only gets one patient from that site every month, they are making a huge profit on that. They would probably gladly pay you $500 a month or more. A great way to get them on board is to give them a free month. You simply set up their phone number on the site and set up the contact form to forward to their business email and sit back and then contact them 30 days later. If they got 1 or 2 clients form that site, I can almost guarantee you they are going to come on board.

The great thing about this is there are tons of keywords that are not hard to rank for at all. Also, you can do some outside marketing for these sites. You don't have to worry about just getting organic traffic. You can contract out a couple of professional videos and you can upload them to YouTube and then buy some YouTube advertising. This opens up another income stream because you can offer your service as a marketing manager for local businesses. The beauty part is once you upload the videos and set up the advertising it runs on autopilot. This is easy to profit with because again, let's say you charge $500 a month for this service. You purchase $250 per month in YouTube ads and pocket the other $250. Even if the business only gets one or two clients from these leads, they are goig to make much more than $500 and they are going to be happy. This also means you can call the business in 3-4 months and see if they want to upscale their advertising to $1000 a month. Now you buy $500 in advertising and pocket $500, etc.

I could go on all day about how many ways you can make money from the Internet.

I'm not blowing my own horn here, but I'm a pretty successful affiliate. I make 90% of my income from that. Let's say that tomorrow all of sudden affiliate marketing was illegal and I lost my entire income. I wouldn't even sweat it, because there are literally hundreds of ways to pull money from the Internet.

I agree with the OP 100%, I am so sick and tired of all of the "I'm broke and depressed" and "What can I do with $50" threads.

Instead of putting up a thread and expecting somebody to take you by the hand and show you step by step how to make money, take the time to look around and do a little research. Think outside the box a little bit.

There is NO REASON why anybody cannot make enough money to live comfortably working for themselves online. NONE. If you are willing to put in the work and you are motivated and want it bad enough you will succeed, period.
