Tired of Everyone Whining About How Broke They Are
David Hasselhoff: I'm Broke | TMZ.com
Certainly the first step is to review expenses and cut back. David is being smart about this. He's not cutting back on his real estate, retirement savings, cars, jewelry, art or other personal expenses. Just his ex-wife.
But when you've cut expenses down to the bone - your last $2 million - it's time to start looking at making some more money to be relevant.
Let's help out David with some ideas:
- There are 4000 products on Amazon tagged for David Hasselhoff.
- More than 10,500 Knight Rider products on Amazon.
- 8500 Baywatch products on Amazon. Sex sells folks!
I'm guessing he gets some small royalty from sales.
Over 20,000 products to fill a niche site, or many niche sites - each with a great marketing angle! Help David. He's broke and needs some fast sales.
Got a health, fitness or diet niche site? Help someone get their "Baywatch" body going and include related products.
How easy is that to spice up your site? Juice machine pictures are boring. Add in some Baywatch pix with affiliate links to Amazon and now you're showing people why they're drinking green stuff every day. Improve your conversions for your main products, get side products to advertise, and legitimately use pictures of Hasselhoff and his crew. Win baby!
Um, did you catch that implied celebrity endorsement strategy you can use for your site without paying for the celebrity? And using their pictures without worrying about copyright issues?
Does David have a fan club and mailing list? Probably not.
That could make some money.
Ya know what, you could start an unofficial David fan club site. Or, one for any celebrity. What is the fan club? An email list where every month you copy err rewrite some tabloid trash and include links to Amazon products.
Celebrities like Hasselhoff are easy pickings. Remember, we've got 20,000 products to choose from, just on Amazon. Enough products for several lifetimes of emails.
So easy - set up a free Google alert and get immediate news stories about Hasselhoff whenever they break. Someone else writes the story and you use it. Heck, you could be like Yahoo and blatantly copy the first paragraph of a story on another website, paste it in an email, and then link to the full story.
Does celebrity stuff like that ever go viral on Facebook? Yeah. Get your page on.
Got a IM / financial / money site? Use the same strategy as for the health site, but like this post you're using Hasselhoff's name for your purposes. Something like: The Knight Rider is broke! Here's how we would help someone in his position. Then your advice is stuff others could use, which you fit into your overall monetization.
So let's review:
- We've got niche ideas galore that aren't the same old boring debt and dogs stuff newbie IMers go for.
- We've got Google giving us content.
- We've got affiliate product links lined up.
- We've got a Facebook page.
- The autoresponder is locked and loaded.
Who knows, we may have something a reporter will pick up for some great publicity.
Gheesh, every time a Google alert popped up with a new story you could be adding a comment linking or referencing to your related website / Facebook page.
It's something we can have a lot of fun with, which means inspired passion to really go after the niche. Something beyond the puke generic Amazon review sites Warriors like to put up and then wonder they aren't making any money.
Who knows. After you've showed David the way and made him a few bucks, he may send you an autograph.
