If you're a frequent Bard user, you might have to exercise caution as the chatbot could index their conversations in Search.

This was reported in X (aka Twitter), with people observing that links to conversations with Google Bard have appeared in search results.

This of course is a privacy and data security.

Anyway, to replicate what others are seeing, type site:bard.google.com/share into the Google Search Bar.

Chime in.

People shouldn't sleep on this because you only need to have people do searches for a wide range alternative keywords for your site

    These then get indexed

People are more likely to give these the benefit of the doubt since they are under the official "Bard" brand auspices

The upside? Great helpful content positioned to convert

  • I think Bard even displays some warning that conversations are not really private lately.

It's concerning to hear reports of Google Bard conversations being indexed in search results, potentially compromising users' privacy and data security. This underscores the importance of being cautious when using such platforms, especially for sensitive or private conversations.

I just did the search you suggested, and indeed, links to conversations on Google Bard are appearing in search results when using the query "site:bard.google.com/share." This raises significant questions about the platform's handling of user data and the extent to which conversations are being made publicly accessible.

For users concerned about their privacy, it's essential to be mindful of the platforms and tools they use, understanding the potential risks and implications of sharing sensitive information online. Additionally, it's crucial for companies like Google to prioritize user privacy and data security, implementing robust measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access or exposure.

Overall, users should exercise caution and consider the potential privacy implications when using platforms like Google Bard, especially until any concerns regarding data security and privacy are adequately addressed.
