| Member Factory is being released by Sam Bakker on February 13, 2016. It’s been a long awaited membership site software. MemberFactory is the perfect alternative to Udemy or any WP membership plugin. If you’re looking to make money online by creating a membership site then this is the product for you. Find out how it compares to a WP membership plugin and learn more about how to create a membership site. On this Member Factory thread, we’ll be taking a look at (1) What is Member Factory? (2) Who is Member Factory for (3) How does MemberFactory work? Finally, we’ll also be discussing our Member Factory review at the end of the thread as well as our MF bonus. Lastly we’ll also compare using a WordPress membership plugin vs. using Member Factory for your membership site. What is Member Factory? Member Factory is a membership site software that allows it’s users to create membership sites with full content management, payment and affiliate integration, membership management, as well as statistics. If you’re asking how do you create a membership site then Member Factory is for you because it’s designed for simplicity and professionalism. It works as easily as a WordPress installation but is a content management system intended specially to operate as a membership site. You can manage multiple membership site on your login as well as manage each membership site individually. Here are some features that can be found in Member Factory: - Membership site themes: You can save time by applying a clean, professional design to your membership site immediately with Member Factory like you would with a WordPress theme except you don’t need as much customization as you might with a WordPress theme because it’s already created for a membership site. There are free theme and also premium paid-themes with MemberFactory. You can also customize the theme to suite your brand and logo. - Content scheduling and drip-feed: You can choose to schedule the release of your content and drip feed the access to your content for members. MemberFactory included this feature because it is useful when you want to ensure that the content user goes to renewal a certain point before they access the next level of content. While many WordPress membership plugin allow for content scheduling, it’s harder to find one that also provides drip-feeding access to content. - Payment Gateways: Member Factory allows for payment gateways integration to your membership site. You can integrate your membership site with Stripe, Paypal or JVZoo simply by an API key. This will allow you to accept payments with less hassle and work on your end, much easier than some other WordPress membership plugin. If you’re asking how do you create a membership site then you’ll also appreciate the tutorials provided in Member Factory for setup information. - Easy Digital Downloads: Member Factory allows for you to upload, manage, and sell unlimited amount of content. You can upload and secure as many downloadable files whether by videos, audio, or text PDF files for download something that would typically be limited by your hosting with a WP membership plugin (because WordPress has limits to media upload size). - Membership site statistics: Member Factory also provides detailed statistics on your membership site performance including user sign ups, revenue, and projected sales. It’s useful analytics to know in the management of your membership site. This is something very useful for those who are still asking how to create a membership site because analytics are a critical component to the success of your membership site. - Affiliate Platforms: importantly, the membership site also provides integration with affiliate programs which is something many Wordpress membership plugin won’t do unfortunately. You can easily integrate your membership site with JVZoo, W+, or Clickbank. - Secure Cloud hosting: Member Factory includes secure cloud hosting on Amazon cloud data centers. This ensures your membership site and sales page is always running online; you can avoid losing sales or impeded customer experience with your slow web hosting on a WordPress membership plugin. (WordPress as you know is a resource guzzler and more so with added plugins.) This is why the case for Member Factory as a separate membership site CMS is worthwhile. Who is Member Factory for? Member Factory is for anyone who is looking for a WordPress membership plugin. It’s an excellent alternative to any WP membership plugin you may find. Member Factory is also an ideal solution as an UDemy alternative especially if you’re looking to create several membership sites. It’s effectively a good membership site CMS for product creations, make money online, and WordPress membership plugin users. Product creators – If you’re in the field of generating revenue through product creation then you would appreciate Member Factory. Using MemberFactory will impress your customer with the professional content delivery platform. This will differentiate you from those who are using WP membership plugin that still have the WP layout on login. It adds more creditability to your product and reputation. Make money online – If you’re looking to make money online then consider getting Member Factory to learn how you can utilize the membership site system to generate recurring income. Much like other WordPress membership plugin, you can use MemberFactory to give free membership site access for lead generation and then upsell the free access to a paid access information. WordPress membership plugin – Those who are currently using WordPress membership plugin may be interested in upgrading to Member Factory to have better functionality and performance of their membership site. It provides your membership site with fast hosting and easy content management as well as important analytics. How does MemberFactory work? Member Factory works like any membership site software; it’s all online as well which adds to its convenience. Importantly because it’s not a WordPress membership plugin, you don’t require WordPress to use Member Factory; this is useful for saving time and installation. (1) Login to Member Factory: Upon your login, you’ll be presented with the current membership sites that you have active with your Member Factory account. It’s easy to create a new membership site and choose your corresponding settings within a few steps. (2) Create your membership packages: Next, you create your membership packages that users can sign up for. You can select the access level as well as the frequency of renewal. Everything on Member Factory is done with easy click and apply options. (3) Upload your content to Member Factory page: Next, upload your content onto Member Factory for your membership site. The important part for those who wonder how to create a membership site. Your content can be entered as you would with a WordPress blog post/page where everything is WYSIWYG. You can also add files for download or upload videos/audio direct to the MF platform though many may prefer to embed their Vimeo video onto the WYSIWYG editor. It works much like a WP membership plugin here You also can select the access level to determine which members get the content. You can also choose to drip feed the content for those who want to run content to members on a drip feed basis as their subscription renews to make it automatically provide new content for your users with your MemberFactory membership site. How to create a membership site is all covered in the Member Factory tutorial provided by Sam Bakker who has helped friends with their membership site setup. (4) Create your membership site: Integrate the payment options with Member Factory. You can set up payment options using Stripe, Paypal, or JVZoo. MemberFactory then helps you create your membership site as you would with Fantastico for an automated WordPress installation. Effectively, there are no technical steps on your part after you’ve input your settings for your membership site. Making the question how to create a membership site much easier. (5) Map the URL to your domain: Finally, your membership site should be up and operational. Everything should look professional and easy accessible for the user. One thing that you would have to do with Member Factory which you wouldn’t with a WordPress membership plugin is mapping the URL to your domain. It’s quick and simple though. You should access your membership site and go to map the URL (under settings and the last option) to ensure that the domain you want to use is the one that is displaying the Member Factory membership site. Currently it may come up as http://name.devsite.rackdot.com although you can easily map it to your URL http://www.mymembershipsite.com This is a critical step to make your membership site easily accessible while using MemberFactory; it’s an extra step relative to a WP membership plugin but still simple. After doing this, there’ll be no Member Factory branding. Another thing to note that Member Factory also handles the hosting and installation so you don’t need to worry at all about managing or paying for your web hosting when using Member Factory as your desired membership site software; it’s much more convenient and purposeful than using a WordPress membership plugin if your intent is to create a membership site in the first place. You can also choose your menu options in your membership admin settings to see which displays you have for your membership site, pretty standard feature. Many WordPress membership plugins are customized to deliver functionality as a membership site although this means less flexibility and not as intentional design for creating a membership site. With this said, there are some benefits to using a specific membership site software rather than customizing a WordPress installation with a WordPress membership plugin. It’s like taking a plate and trying to use it as a bowl. While a WordPress membership plugin may serve well for some basic membership sites, it may be better user experience and better management to get a solely dedicated content management system for your membership site like Member Factory. Effectively if you’re looking to make a make-shift membership site or create one or two membership site then perhaps a WordPress membership plugin added to your WordPress installation may be the better solution; if you’re looking to create more than one membership site and hoping to create your membership sites professionally designed and managed then a specific membership site software like MemberFactory or Smart Member 2 would work well for you. There are also other benefits to using a WordPress membership plugin occasionally; this is especially so if you want to build your membership site as an extension of your WordPress website and would like to have it managed all on one system. If you’re asking how to create a membership site then go for Member Factory because you can get the support you may not otherwise get with a WordPress plugin; it’ll also give you an edge over some competitors using worse platforms for their membership site. Otherwise, it may be a better option to use Member Factory to manage your membership site in my opinion. Member Factory in review: Member Factory is a useful asset for those needing a membership site software. It’s probably the better alternative to any WordPress membership plugin that’s available on the market. It’s a complete packaged solution for those needing to create a membership site. We really like MemberFactory and would recommend it for anyone needing a membership site software. Sam Bakker and the team at Member Factory have invested heavily into creating a tool like this while pricing it competitively. Hi! Question, Can you create a free membership level/membership site with Member Factory? (or does it only allows paid membership?) Is this vastly different from SmartMember?

Absolutely, you can set the billing cycle to $0 and then set up the process as you would with a paid membership site. You can also manually add free users if you like to have a "paid feature" but provide free access upon a lead sign up. It would be a great way to generate leads. This is quite different from Smart Member 2.0. Smart Member 2.0 in my opinion is focused towards a complete package, almost a done for you solution where you had the whole system and support in place. Member Factory on the other hand is a budget solution and more so a membership site software. It allows you to create seamless membership sites effortlessly but it isn't a course builder software per say. Member Factory is an alternative for WordPress membership plugins while Smart Member 2.0 reaches towards the Udemy alternatives. Each still strive to deliver more value however. You will notice the price point for Smart Member 2 and Member Factory are also vastly different (though Member Factory is recurring monthly - something to keep in mind if you're thinking about getting Member Factory. Make sure you use it and generate a profit from the system. Hosting is included however)

My experience with Member Factory so far on a scale of 1-10? How about 3.5 1) The support email last I checked is a dead link. 2) I had to spend 24-48 hours seeking alternative communication after which still no support response. 3) The "knowledge base" is not very detailed 4) No info on how people actually signup or register for membership. At least I can't find it. 5) The site designer feature leaves a lot to be desired. Especially, when trying to add a logo These are few of the highlights, unfortunately, there are more. The MOST important of course for me is the disappearing act of the represented support. |

Sorry to hear about your experience with Member Factory so far. It's a great product overall but the support may be overwhelmed due to the launch volume of customer questions and support request. I'd suggest you reach out to Sam Bakker directly through his Facebook profile: https://www.facebook.com/sambakker?fref=ts - You can leave him a message or comment on his posts publicly as well. As the product is still new the knowledge base will take some time to be built up. You can be assured with a full suite product like Member Factory or something that takes this much development work that Sam Bakker and the team at Member Factory will take time to ensure it's properly supported in due time. Let me know if I can help you along personally. We typically provide support for Warriors who purchase through our Warrior Forum discuss thread.

| Re: [MUST READ] Member Factory review – How to create a membership site with MemberFactory
Now that it's almost a year later, is anyone using MemberFactory? I noticed that they now have a $197 annual fee instead of a one-time purchase for $197. That makes it sound more legitimate. I don't see how you can support long-term software for a one-time price (unless it's really expensive). I have a membership site that I originally pieced together. A few years ago I hired a local guy to rebuild it in WordPress. It looks much better, but the developer is very expensive and takes months to do things like change payment processors or membership plugins. I'd like to start another site in another niche but am looking for something I can do myself...that's not too expensive and or too technical. This sounds ideal, but I'd like to hear from others. If no one is using MemberFactory, are there any other recommendations? Kajabi, ClickFunnels, Rainmaker, etc? Thanks in advance. |
