Several of the reviews have mentioned Mario's notes from the San Diego's Mass Control event. While I won't give away what's contained in the notes, they alone, in my opinion are worth the price he's charging.
We often forget the little things that actually drive us to succeed. Mario's notes alone will help you, will motivate you, will excite you to take action. I don't care what level of internet marketer you are, there's a money making nugget in there for everyone. Even if you heard it before, it's worth the price if you haven't gotten off your butt and done something.
I've made a ton of money offline and it was inspiring to hear the things I KNOW I should be doing. It was a great reminder.

I've got Marios Local SEO course which includes 5 videos about the basics of SEO, keywords, website assessment, on page optimization, backlinks and a bonus video on website structure. All videos get to the important points relating to SEO and some
are 8 minutes and some are around 12 minutes long. So less than an hour of video to get an excellent education in SEO.
This part was basic level but the bonus guide had a nice surprise.
Also, included were the 3 pdf guides, the local seo manual, SD notes and the backlink traffic ninja guide.
The local seo manual was basicaly the videos summarized into a 7 page guide which is handy to refer to and saves time over watching the videos.
The SD notes are Marios San Diego Mass control notes, 9 pages ( I didn't get a chance to read through them yet) and the BL ninja guide was worth alone the price of admission! There were 26 pages of valuable tips on easily getting unique
articles and high PR backlinks.
The order process was working and I was able to get access and the download link quickly.

I bought this despite the reviews that said it was more for newbies, I agree that most if not all of the information is not new if you have been around IM or SEO for some time. However this is a perfect fit for those just getting their feet wet in the local offline SEO market.
If you follow Mario's suggestions you will get top rankings for local search terms. If the competition is switched on in the niche you are targetting then it may just take a little longer to get first page rankings.
My suggestion is to check out the competition before you provide a firm quote for your work. If the competition looks like it's not going to be a walk in the park then charge the client a bit more and outsource the off-page optimization stepping up to level three in the backlinks department.
Personally I would have liked a one page cheat-sheet to finish off the WSO
