hi they are 2 different products.
    1. visual website optimizer is an ab testing tool - tells you which of your landing page performs better.
    2. Voluum is a traffic/tracking platform - enable you to build and run ad campaigns.

obviously, there are some aspects that are similar, but you can use both in conjonction in order optimize and get a better understanding of your campaigns.

alternative to VWO is optimizely, which is probably the most popular ab testing tool. Google analytics (free) also provides you AB testing features.

If you're looking for a tracking tool, voluum is a good option, and you have also cpvlab, prosper202 and obviously my software TrackingDesk | Traffic management platform for performance marketers which is currently free.
pm me if you need some more info.

Trackingdesk did a good job at summing up details.
What are you looking to accomplish? How are you planning on driving traffic and making money?

      1. Pick an offer in maxbounty or peerfly, i dont know which one, and i dont know if they will acept me because i am noob and my speaking english is bad, my teenager sister english is perfect so maybe she will talk with the AM on the phone.

      2. Research about the audience to which i'm going to sell my product, age, demographics, preferences etc...

      3. Pick a paid traffic source, i dont know which one, maybe Bing with coupons, noobs must start in PPC right? i am reading about PPV and is too expensive for a noob like me.

      4. test my ads and landing pages, optimize the CTR, LP CTR and CR, i need to use a tracker like voolum to test my landing pages and offers, maybe VWO isn't necessary, i just need voolum and campaigns with different names to identify my landing pages with the best stats and positive ROI, right? .

i am right? , obviously this is a quick resume, i know more substeps are involved, like spy my competency, i need a VPS, i need design my own LPs with html or wordpress, testing, testing, etc.., etc.... my budget is $2,000 USD, i sold my PS4, my plasma TV and a lot of my appreciated stuff to save money.

i just want to live in japan! i dont want to be rich, I hope not to lose all my money because i am not wealthy, i am a poor old guy in a central america country (i dont have a job), the only way to live in japan is with this business, is the only way..

The HARD part of this is get my accounts approved in peerfly or maxbounty and the VERY HARD PART is to choose a profitable offer or a profitable niche, i will pick one and i will research and focus just in one from the start, if i cant get conversion or ROI after spending $100 or $150 in ads and after had tried a lot testing, i just will pick another offer, i know i will lose money at the start, but i will gain experience, i just hope don't lose all my $2000 savings in this process, i have only 20 shots ($100 x 20 = $2000) , obviously i will not take a random offer, i just will research a lot before taking an offer, i know hard competition and over saturation are two negative things, lack of creativity too.

        My advice:

If you want to spare money and avoid dealing with technical stuff, dont take any vps. Try to work exclusively through cloud based applications.

Landing page + AB testing: Get an account with instapage or unbounce - it will provide you with the ability to design/setup your landing pages and have AB testing features to see which landing page works best. they also have ton of templates so you wont have to spend $ to get nice designs.

Research: There are plenty of tools to make some research. You'll just have to dig to find what's best for you.

Tracking - Voluum or any other tracking/traffic management platform will help you identify what campaign works best and see your ROI - obviously, i would recommend Trackingdesk since it's my company and it's currently free. Note also that TrackingDesk has also some AB testing features.

PPC traffic sources: Adwords, Bing, 7search and probably others - Keep in mind that in order to be successful you need to have outstanding copy. Therefore, i would highly recommend to pick the geo target that you know best so you can excel rather than making spelling mistakes.

On a more personal note: it takes some serious courage to take the route you chose and i am sure that you will find the support in this forum to assist you find the right tools and tricks to avoid some beginner's mistakes.

        Good luck!
