Barely Any SiteScout Impressions

I just made a deposit with SiteScout a month ago but haven't been able to get impressions for five of my six campaigns. One of them was targeting people in Australia, so expected maybe it was due to the low population there, but not sure about the rest based in the U.S. I increased my CPM bid all the way up to $3.50 for most of them, but that hasn't brought any impressions in.

Could it be that I am targeting positions above the fold (which obviously would need to have higher bids)? Or maybe that I am just not choosing the right sites? I have received impressions from my first campaign, which didn't specify the ad position, so maybe that's it.

Thanks

I used to be a big player with sitescout. You didn't mentioned your targeting options here. Are you targeting on RON or is it site specific targets? If it is site specific targeting means, make sure your niche is acceptable in their site. Otherwise no matter how much bid your raise you will never get a single impression. As not all sites accepts many landers and ads. So make sure you check their restrictions.

    Good luck.

It was site specific. Maybe I should try RON instead? I know that is riskier since I can't vet sites for quality though.

To get impressions from RTB, try the ff:

    1. Loosen up on category targeting - the more specific the category, the lower the impressions
    2. Increase your frequency cap - 9/24 is optimum
    3. Duplicate campaigns with different max CPM bids
    4. Target RON and build your white list based on your stats
    5. Looseup up on device, browser, and ad placement targeting
    6. Set day parting to all day, all week -- unless you don't want to run on specific times and dates
    7. Increase daily budget - usually this doesn't get used up anyway but if your budget is evenly paced, the budget will be allocated evenly through the day
    8. Focus on 300x250 / 728x90 dimensions only
