It really depends on the traffic source and offer.

For PPC it can be important and PPV, for example, it usually doesn't matter.

Trust - the user will click your ad and goto your landing page, if they see a domain that they think looks shady, they will leave

I know that this factor doesn't seem to be very important, but I can guarantee that it is. Sometimes, small details (such as your domain ) can make a lot of difference.

Well, most PPC platforms will have a limit number of characteres for the display URL, so domains that are too long can't be used.

                    Hey Mario,

I would have to agree that the domain name is probably not as important if you are only using paid traffic. However, you still want the domain name to be closely related to your offer. Like others have said, people are a lot more likely to stay on your site and feel comfortable converting on your offer if you use a domain name that implies something positive.

For example, when I am creating my own landing pages I like to come up with a domain name that relates to the offer, but also implies that I will be helping the people who come to my site. If you are promoting an auto insurance offer and you are creating your own custom landing page, try using a domain like "easyautoinsurancetips.com". That conveys to viewers that you are going to be presenting them with something helpful, not that you are trying to blatantly sell them something.

Think about it from your own perspective and ask yourself, "Would I want to have my name associated with this site?" And if you answer that question "yes" then you are on the right track! Hope that helps though!

                    Best of Luck,
