Industry Interview by Brian McLevis // Envyus Media

I was recently asked by Gao from AffiliatePaying.com to do an Industry Interview for his website. The interview consists of over 20 questions that are related to topics in affiliate marketing. I thought this would be a great opportunity to express my thoughts about the industry and allow others to get a feel of who I am and what I have done over the past 5 years.

The interview will be published on AffiliatePaying.com this week but I wanted to allow the Warrior Forum community the opportunity to read it before it's released on AffiliatePaying.com. Some of you may find it interesting and some may fall asleep face down on the keyboard from boredom. Nonetheless, I have posted the interview on the Envyus Media blog which can be found here. Hope you enjoy it!

    Hi Brian,

I liked it when you say "Within my first year I was making so much money - amounts my Wife and I could barely comprehend at first - that I actually couldn't sleep at night".

For those of you who don't know Brian, he's not only the network owner, but also my AM, and he's uber WORKAHOLIC! And he's been very helpful to me.

      True that Dennis

I used to just jump into bed because I knew I hadn't slept in 20 hours, but be soo excited about my business that the adrenaline would keep me awake. I would wake up every hour or so and subconciously reach over and check my stats on my phone.

If I was making money, it pumped me up and I could hardly fall back asleep

If I was losing money, I would get pissed off and could hardly fall back asleep

It was a no-win proposition. There were a few months there where I ran on adrenaline with a severe lack of sleep. The money was coming in good so I didnt even care.

These days I value my time and health a bit more, but there are times when I still get that uncontrollabl rush and cant sleep for a few days. Its a fun feeling!

Nice interview! However, I used to have problems to sleep before I start making money, not after.

Eventually before you knew it I was running 12 servers 24/7/365 pushing 3000GB xfer/mo through the internet pipes generating 30k unique views a day to my landers.
I'm really interested what you did back then - from a technical point of view. Did I understand it correctly that you exploited weak MySpace code?

Can you tell us more about it without going to jail?
