Facebook Ads - changing link after Ad approval
As I mentioned in another post, I've been having trouble getting geo targeted international offers approved on Facebook. Obviously the problem is that the approval team are in the US, the offer is say Canadian and when they click on the link before approval, they get taken to a totally different offer because the CPA network has a geo redirect on it.
Just wondering what others do to avoid this? The easiest solution I see is to have the URL point to a simple php redirect. Before approval, I set it up to go direct to the site, no affiliate link, just straight to the domain. As soon as it's approved I then just edit the script to point to the actual offer.
Does anyone else do this? What's the chances of getting busted? I know it's a bit grey hat but it's just bending a pretty stupid rule and the user does end up at the correct site, not something totally unrelated.
Any other ways around it?
