Youtube Video Marketing

Hello Warriors, i have learnt a lot as i have been experimenting with youtube.Mostly i do reviews of CPA offers but they really do not convert.Now i am thinking about using viral latest trending topics and promoting my CPa with it but it seems that place is already even saturated as its a technique people have been doing for a longtime.What can i really do with youtube videos and how should i do video marketing using youtube and other video sites.

    Hi Shadywilly!!!

    How many videos are you doing? Unless you go viral, you need a lot of volume to make up for the low conversions!

    hey thanks ken.Can u pls elaborate more on that.How do i go viral or get a lot of volume.Does it mean i have to produce, for example, over 200 videos for the same offer,because i'm not really sure but youtube TOS does not allow to produce the same video posted.So maybe i have to tweak the same video 200 times and put on youtube? If not how do i do it and/or go viral

      Here is a free software that you can use as is -or- host on your own server that allows you to create multiple videos --- and saves you a lot of time over most other methods should you decide to go the mass videos route vs. viral method.

          The babies are doing good, thanks. The virtual stork may deliver another one or two soon. Wish they would stop talking about higher wages though.

          Will let you know if anything new develops. Am still going the viral route with some modifications, and trying out the mass video route as well.

            What if you did a skit challenging the ETrade babies in some way? Challenge them to a fight because you're tired of them getting the attention May get more mass appeal that way. May also be skirting with copyright type stuff but prob not.

              I like your concept of challenging the Etrade baby. Clever idea! Am also not sure about the copyright issue, which could be potentially infringing if not clearly produced as parody upon an existing comedy video... a spoof of an already humorous and successful ad campaign.

              Have been studying viral videos more lately and they have some commonalities that help to make them go viral. Which has made me take a second look at my existing videos and how they might be redone to be more effective. Am considering replacing each one with a quicker, tighter version. And removing all links to offers for awhile (as strange as that might sound).

              It can be challenging and somewhat complicated to get the right mix for a video to potentially become viral. As you already know, there are no guarantees and there are elements over which no one has any control.

              So back to the drawing board and see what happens next. My plate is getting full with viral/non-viral, online/offline promotions, and other experiments to see what works best and scaling up the winners.

              As always, I sincerely appreciate your continuing encouragement and support while I learn the ropes!

    As far as the Etrade thing...in my mind I wasnt necessarily thinking have the etrade babies in yoru video or anything like that, but I mean if you mention something like "look at us...we are just as funny and better looking than the etrade babies" I cant imagine you could get in too much trouble since you are only referring to the concept in an abstract way.

    of course I say this with little knowledge about copyright and no legal education!


    Anywho, always good to stay within the posts (not break any rules) but most viral concepts have at least a little controversy right?

      Okay, now I see what you are saying about the Etrade baby idea. That would work since it is amusing commentary on another video. Makes sense.

      You're absolutely right about controversy. It almost always grabs people's attention. Especially if it is a topic or idea that is unconventional or new on most people's radar. Or presented in such a way that is challenges the usual thinking or interpretation.

      As a side note:

      At the moment I am trying to re-edit a bunch of the existing videos pointing to one URL. In the past there were links going to different offers. I have found that this is too much of a shotgun approach to sales. Rather than trying to manage and track too many campaigns it makes more sense to me to work to promote one offer at a time for now.

      Unfortunately Youtube has yet to allow a user to modify an existing video. So the only way to change a URL in the video is to remove the existing one and upload a new version. The downside is that you lose all view counts and comments. The only saving grace is that the number of existing Subscribers and Friends remain intact on the Channel page.

    When you say your videos haven't been doing well, how many videos are you actually putting out per CPA offer? Doing videos is a 'numbers' game and it is impossible to predict with 100% certainty before posting them whether they're going to be a big hit and go viral, so unless you've posted at least several videos for each offer you're promoting it's hard to determine for sure whether or not they're effective.

    I agree with paulie and I would take it a step further and say you will need a lot of volume unless you go the viral route. Conversions are generally not good and traffic is a bit tough, but volume can make up for it!

    Especially when you are dealing with campaigns that have countless "mini-campaigns" within them like a youtube campaign that has 1000 videos promoting different offers..its VERY important to try and centralize midway through the sales funnel. Imagine having 1000 videos with 1000 different URLs...it would be a full time job for 3 just to update these links whent eh CPA offers expire or get cancelled. So its good to bring traffic to one hub and then route to the cpa offer from there.

    In becomes a little tricky with tracking sometimes but you will save significant time in organization and implementation!
