I just got a notice that I got another AM at Maxbounty. This is like my fourth AM with MB in a very short time. Why is the turnover rate so high with AMs?

To be fair, I've had the same AM at Neverblue since I joined about 2 years ago, and my AM with EWA only changed once (my original AM went on to run Blam Ads). I've seen a lot of AMs come and go with some networks, and other networks have kept the same one throughout. All in all, it seems to be a relatively high turnover rate.

I'm also curious to know what kinds of commissions affiliate managers get.

AM commissions differentiate, but an AMs job is very hard and has a lot of things he needs to keep track of. Some are not fit for the job(don't manage time correctly, don't keep good relationships with the affiliates etc) and others go on to do bigger and better things

Any idea of what the general range is in terms of a percentage? For example, if I generate $100, and the network generates X from that, what percent of X does the AM see?

depends on experience and longevity with the company, but I won't beat around the bush, around 10-20%, again, some other companies pay straight salary, while others are base salary +commission

I have never had this problem (it does happen eventually, but not very often for me), but I would hate it. I always try to have a close relationship with my affiliate managers and use their insights to build my campaigns, but it gets hard when you have a new AM every week.

Yeah we realize some affiliates have been affected by quite a few AM switches over the past year. While the new AM for which an announcement went out today is replacing someone who left us after a month because they found their dream job in another industry, many of the other AM switches have been the direct result of some process changes at MaxBounty.

Why would we change processes? Any healthy company needs to periodically look at what they are doing, and how they can improve their business to better meet the needs of their customers (our affiliates). Sometimes these process changes require some reassignments of affiliates to affiliate managers. While this may have a big impact on some individual affiliates, overall our changes allow us to better serve our affiliates.

If anyone gets a new affiliate manager and wants to go back to their old AM, feel free to contact me. Of course, I can't change you back if your old AM has left the company.

You will have to remove the new AM's photo! It is hard to concentrate on my stats. If you know what I mean.
