Do you just send people to an affiliate link? Or can you get the code and put the offer right on a page on your own domain?

I was curious, because if you can do the latter, couldn't you just send them to the offer and then hit them with some sort of exit pop about a free report (list building) if they don't sign up right away?

That way you can try for the conversion first and still try to build a list.

You have a lot of options:

1.) make your own landing page, (should be a full site now).
2.) send them right to the merchant directly
3.) iframe the merchants landing page, (you could do your exit pop here).

BUT if it's ppc traffic most don't allow exit pops, organic you're probably fine.

Yes , iframe is the only option to do what you are thinking. But it will work good with only social network traffic.

So there's not way to get their code and host an identical copy of their landing page on your site (form would still submit to them)?

You can, but get their permission first. Some merchants are very protective of their pages and some won't allow forms to be hosted outside their own server.

You learn quick. Most affiliate programs provide very little marketing material that benefit you in the long run.

If you know nothing about website you can make a blog page and just direct them to your blog page to sign up for free report, free ebooks and bonus for them to give you their name and email address.

Then set your auto responder to simply send them to you affiliate page from your blog.

See my example at WordPress Blogs 3 Clicks

To see how the auto responder work go to this form and when you fill out the aweber it will take you to my affiliate sales page.

If you going to build you own landing page or squeeze make sure to monitor the conversion rate or you page or test out two pages.

You always want to build you own list. You can always offer this list other products, free reports, free ebbok or start a free membership website and later you can start to charge.

    Hope this helps...

Is there a way to iFrame an offer and still get a DHTML exit pop to work?
