Tracking In CPA Marketing

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can track my CPA offers?

I have signed up for Google Analytics and on the page where it says: 'What are you tracking'? Do I choose the option of 'One domain to multiple subdomains'?

Also, this domain in question, is that the domain of the CPA offer, or my domain name?

After I get the code, what do I do next?

Many thanks in advance.

Too bad prosper doesnt work on every host and is a pain in the A to try to get working on almost every server I've tried. Tracking 202 is decent but you're relying on their uptime.

There really arent any good tracking solutions IMO.

I'm "a lot experienced" and I can tell you that Prosper is decent at best. Don't want to bad mouth their product but it doesn't do anything MS Excel can't do. Yes its nice, WHEN IT WORKS....

My understanding you need to track CPA offers wherever they will be such as text ads, banner ads, pop ups and so on. I have using Prosper202 for while and I had few minor problems solving basically its refreshing page. Installation process is simple however you have to check your hosting server features to make sure it goes to work.
I had shared hosting at Seohosting ( Hostgator) and currently I run Prosper202 on VPS server at Beyond hosting. I am tracking several campaigns and it is working fine.
You have to avoid cheap shared hosting performance would be compromised.

Had a $199 VPS that it wouldn't run on... I believe it doesnt even run on Windows servers. Oh well

Im as serious as a heart attack.

Excel doesn't have nearly any of the issues 202 does.

      Ex. Search results in Tracking202

Note there is no solution posted for 90% of the problems people have with 202.... they just act like it is a one time thing, because so many people sing their praises but there is a whole crop of people in my boat who can't get this software to do anything worthwhile.

If it works for you, great. But it isn't anywhere near perfect and I personally cannot, have not, and will never recommend it.

So, the bottom line is: forget CPA and go develop some tracking software that works well. Instant riches await you.

      Hi,
Remember that you cannot use Tracker202 in your FB Ads URL. It got blacklisted a few weeks ago (my experience).

InternetLover, prosper202 and t202 are good tools. They have a learning curve though, so budget at least a week to learn how to install, tweak, and understand the results.

You asked about Google Analytics (GA). This is a good tool and is very easy to use. However, it is not real-time.

First grab your GA code, and place it on every page that you want to track.

Ideally, you want to place the GA code on your CPA thank-you page too. The problem is that you don't normally have direct access to the thank-you page of a CPA offer. The way to get around this is to ask your affiliate manager to place your code on the CPA offer's thank-you page. They will be happy to do this for you.

Next, in the GA admin panel, set up your goals.

For example, set up goal #1 as:

    Landing page to opt-in.

    Then goal #2 is:

opt-in to thank you page for opt-in.

    Goal #3 is:

CPA offer on thank-you page to CPA thank-you page (this means that the conversion was successful for the CPA offer).

    And so on.

    I hope this helps.

BTW, you should get the conversion tracking code from your paid traffic source and ask your AM to place it on the CPA thank-you page as well. This code is normally real-time. When a conversion happens, you will be able to track.

    Good luck.
