Hello everyone,

I've recently noticed that there are companies that Buy & Sell leads online. I honestly couldn't wrap my head around the idea, so I thought I might get help here.

What I want to know is, are these leads suitable for small businesses? How about the conversion rates of these leads? Could you please recommend any company? I provide an online service and tried several other methods like Adwords, but didn't get any success. Maybe due to my lack of experience.

I've checked one of those companies, named Lead Pile. The only problem that deterred me from giving them a go was the fact that you have to deposit $300 (non refundable). That wouldn't be a problem if I know beforehand what kind of success, or lack thereof, can I expect.

Cheers

Pretty sure most of these leads won't be fresh. They're sold over and over again, and would be best for those that own call centers that can put forth the man power to contact these leads over and over again.

Then again I don't deal with Lead Pile personally, but just pulling from what I've heard.

    Hi Leo,

That depends what is your industry and how much do you want to pay for a quality lead?

Buying leads can defintiley be profitable, if you can find a reputable lead broker or company. I purchase leads all the time and make a good profit from it. It's just a matter of your lead quality. Another issue you will face is actually reaching out to these leads--if you are doing email marketing. Because you can't just take a bunch of purchased leads and import them into companies like getresponse or aweber.

If you're looking for quality, you are better off working with a network on getting your own personal 'offer' up to collect the leads, this way you will know they are fresh and hopefully of the quality you need

Leo, don't waste your time with pre-bought leads. As someone said these have been passed around multiple times, instead work on getting fresh leads. It takes a bit of work but if you can do it then your business will thank you and repay you multiple times over. If you have any specific questions shoot me a pm.

Right ... here's how it works (I do lead generation for a living so I know the score):

90% of leads sold online are recycled junk. Don't buy from these sources. The BEST quality leads are the ones you generate yourself via adwords, ysm and bing. Obviously, theres a skill level involved so a lot of companies need to BUY these leads from such companies at a margin.

Lead generation is big business (I get up to $90 bucks a lead and I can sometimes generate them for a handful of bucks via adwords), but if you want to generate your own, I would set up an in-house team. Much more cost-effective.

Any questions just let me know,
    Nick

For any marketing, SEO or small business leads are terribly crucial. several companies supply leads for sale and you'll be able to surely use one in every of these companies. However, you wish to make sure that the company that you just use for your leads, could be a reliable one, one that's capable of producing quality leads.

So funny, bought mortgage leads for years, great return on investment. Sure there are some duds, but anyone selling all garbage won't be around long, repeat business is how they make money, and how many time they're sold isn't always a problem.
