How do you test offers?

How do you test an offer to make sure that if someone is filling in their email address that you are getting your payout on your affiliate network? I could enter my own or a fake email address but that would be fraudulent. Thank you.

Start buying traffic, send it to the offer and wait to see some conversions.
Or talk to your AM and see what you can setup to test and see if the offer process works...

I see nothing wrong in doing the first test by completing myself the offer.
As long as you don't try to "cheat" next time. They won't flag you for a one time "fake".

If you're getting scrubbed on an offer, you may or may not see a conversion if you fill it out yourself. Scrubbing simply means that you don't get paid for a percentage of the leads that you generate.

Scrubbing happens on almost every network to some extent, and sometimes it happens for totally legitimate reasons. (other than the fact that none of the networks will straight up tell you about the practice, but that's just how things are...) It's also much more likely to happen on lower payout offers.

But filling out an offer yourself is not the best of ideas. If you're caught, it doesn't matter why you were filling it out, you'll be in real trouble for breaching the TOS. Even if you discover that you're not getting credited, what purpose will it serve? It's not like you have much of a case to present to your network, breaching TOS and all.

The best option, and the only real effective one, is to test different offers through different networks. It's really not fun and it's not pretty, but it's what you have to do in the competitive field of CPA.
