Lifetime commission + different products

I'm kinda new in the affiliates world, so bear with me.

Is there any software out there to lock a lifetime commission to an affiliate for different products, example :

John's (affiliate) banner has been clicked by Mike to purchase Game A. Mike purchased the game, and in return John will get 5% every time Mike tops up his Game A subscription. I just knew that this is called as "Lifetime Commission".

But, as ann addition to the above, John made a purchase of Game B (via Mike's affiliate banner) and Mike gets 4% lifetime commission.

So in the end :
1. John get 5% lifetime commission every time John make a purchase for Game A
2. Mike get 4% lifetime commission every time John make a purchase for Game B

I was told that lifetime commission only works with a single product per customer, and not for multi affiliates with the same customer. Is this true?

I think of it as a lifetime value of a customer and I am part of a company that works like an affiliate company and also does a lot of upselling based on the lifetime value.

Lifetime commission or residuals are great! They can really provide stability long term, and are over looked by lots of affiliates. (As long as the company is legit.)

They are usually found with a little digging in high competition niches.

Well, that's nice to hear. As we all know, lifetime commission is a setting that assures that when an affiliate refers a customer, they get ALL commissions from sales generated by that particular customer. That's fine and all, but is it possible if we do it like this?

      Apple + Affiliate A + Customer A = Lifetime commission
      plus
      Banana + Affiliate B + Customer A = Lifetime commission
      plus
      Milk + Affiliate C + Customer A = Lifetime commission

So in the end, depends on the product, that particular affiliate will get the commission. Or, am I stucked with having ONLY ONE product attached to Customer A to make lifetime commission work?
