Hello Warriors,
It's wonderful to see that tons of you guys already started to take action!
I get tons of PM's everyday asking me questions about advertising networks and also asking for tips.
So, I just wanted to share with you the Advertising Networks that i'm using(and i'm not using only BuzzCity) and share with you also some tips that will help you run successful campaigns.

BuzzCity - I saw few people complaining about BuzzCity traffic quality, so check this out:
- BuzzCity have low traffic quality in places like USA, Canada, etc.
- BuzzCity have high quality in Asia, so if you want to run campaign that promoting USA CPA offer, don't use BuzzCity as an Advertising Network!

BuzzCity - BuzzCity - Mobile Internet Advertising
AirPush(GREAT NETWORK) - Airpush - Mobile Ad Network | Mobile RTB | Android App Monetization
AdultModa(only for adult offers) - Adultmoda - Adult Mobile Advertising
AdMob(bought by Google) - AdMob -- monetize and promote your mobile apps with ads ? Google Ads
Tapit - Mobile Monetization Platform | Mobile Advertising | TapIt by Phunware
JumpTap(GREAT NETWORK) - Jumptap | The leading unified audience platform
AdFonic(GREAT NETWORK) - Adfonic

Conclusion -
BuzzCity is good ONLY FOR ASIA!
If you looking to advertise in other places use other networks.

- How to get start with Mobile CPA?
First of all you need to join Mobile CPA Network like MobPartner or OfferMobi.
MobPartner
OfferMobi | Focused on the Mobile Web? Come See What You Have Been Missing!
There also other CPA network, but those that I mentioned have only mobile offers.

- What Advertising networks recommended for beginners?
In my opinion BuzzCity(for Asia CPA offers), AirPush(for Android) and AdFonic.

- What tools are you using?
Here is a list of tools that IhaveAdream shared:
Another tools:
Offermobi | Locate by Zipcode
http://4devices.offermobi.com/device...e3/0/phone4/0/
http://3preview.offermobi.com/previe...e3/0/phone4/0/
http://preview.offermobi.com/preview/frames/

- What you prefer, Banners or Text Ads for "newbies"?
If you are just started your journey in the CPA & Mobile world I would recommend for you to start with banners.
They are convert better in the most cases.

What are the steps to promote CPA offers with Mobile?
Should I create banner? when should I create banner?
I get this question a lot - "I have to create banner? I don't know to design".
So, you DON'T HAVE TO CREATE BANNER!
I'm not always creating banners, it's depends...
When you have low CTR you will know that you should change banner.
If you have low CTR it's means that this banner is over saturated means too much people saw this specific banner.

Text Ads VS Banners
From my experience, banners convert much more better!
The reason for it that banners are attracting the eye of the person and also it's looks more professional.

I wish you the best Warriors,
David

P.S - Post your questions here, I will answer them the fastest I can and I will add it to the thread.

  • When I am in MobPartner and it says campaign paused. Does this mean I have that particular campaign validated I just need to start it?
    • [1] reply
    • I don't think so. It should say "Promote" if it's validated and ready to promote.
I think the advertiser paused that particular offer.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • Great information david I am working on a couple off campaigns as we speak so would love to share my results in the coming weeks :-)

  • Hey, how long does it take for the MobPartner campaigns I subscribe to on 'Pending Validation' to be accepted (or denied)?

I've been waiting for a couple of days now and the couple I subscribed to are still 'Pending Validation'.

Edit: I should've probably remined myself people don't work on weekends, heh.

    Cheers.
  • Hey I have a quick question real quick if you are willing to answer. Which advertising site do you use for other countries other than Buzzcity for Asia?

Also how do you decide if an offer is worth promoting?

    Thanks

    @DavidAtias1
    • [1] reply
    • It's takes around 24-48 hours.

I already gave a list of traffic sources that I'm using.

      David
  • Hi David, Adfonic seem to reject my creative all the time. I've tried at least 5 different offers and nothing gets approved. They never respond to support ticket too. Can you shed some light here?
  • So the other advertising sites work for every country but if I want Asia I use BuzzCity?
    • [1] reply
    • You created the banner yourself?
How much time past since you contact their support?

      Correct

  • Buzzcity Impression is so unstable.
  • Hi David,

I have one question if in offer there is - in custom creative. So i can't use my own banner?
    • [1] reply
    • It's depends on the Banner, area and offer.

I guess you can't but if you really want try to contact MobPartner support or the Mobile Offer creator.

      Regards,
      David
  • Hey David,
thanks for such a helpful thread

I was wondering about BuzzCity and MobPartner...how do they pay their affiliates? Paypal, cheque? I can`t find it anywhere on their websites...The only thing that would not work for me is international bank wire.
    • [1] reply
    • They pay by paypal minimum 50$ maximum 500$. Ofcourse there is banwire option and i gues cheque too
  • Thank you for all these FAQs. It really helps man. You are doing a great job I have been following you.
  • Some countries were English isn't spoken much like Germany, France or other small countries.

If the creative banner is in English. Will it still make nice conversions or it is bad idea to use english creative for those countries?
    • [4] replies
    • Well I gues it's works. If they don't much doesn't mean they don't understand it.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • I think that local language banners will convert better for non-English speaking countries.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • Usually the banners are in the local language. You should be able to choose that in your Ad-Network creatives'.
    • You just referred to France and Germany as small countries

Yes you can generally get banners in the main European languages from MobPartner
  • What about Asia? Should i create banners on local language or i can still use English?
    • [1] reply
    • Should you find a product where the publisher DOES allow your own ads: Knock yourself out with creativity Just make sure you have good knowledge of the local language spoken in the country you are targeting.

As for Asia: While I'm sure English is spoken over there, it still might be best to use the local language. Since I'm not a native English speaker, I always found it odd to see an English banner pop up on my phone while overseas. It just smelled like "sales-pitch".

However: Different cultures respond differently to ads in non-native language. Who knows: Maybe it's totally cool to receive an English ad in China?

Anybody reading this from Asia who could chime in on this?

      I'd like to know, too

  • Thanks soo much for your valuable info. I just strated on Mobpartner & Buzzcity run 1 campaign, I did not know that buzzcity is not for USA. lost $20.Learn my lesson, thanks for your tips.
    • [1] reply
    • dont be surprise if you lost more money testing on other countries, you will get what i mean later, this is a trap and i 100% sure you will lost most of ur money & never make any cent
  • Some one please answer it.

If I want to target some european country french language users with french banner. So can I use creative for France on traffic of someother country?

I contacted mobPartner support but no reply so far.
  • [DELETED]
  • If you are using French language banners I assume you are targeting french speaking countries like Belgium and Luxembourg or have specific ideas in mind for Canada or Switzerland
I cant see why you cant use the same banner for each country

However you may need to use separate targeted urls for each country
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thanks for the tips man, will bookmark this to refer to later on.
you wouldnt have a pdf download of this would you?
    Thanks for the quick guidance.
  • Can anyone please tell me how to track my campaign from buzzcity by using tracking202 or anyother self hosted tracker?

    A short tutorial if possible.

  • David I really want to thank you for opening this mobile CPA thread (and the earlier threads as well) I recently bought a new laptop from my earnings in this venture.

I wish you all the best.

For those who aren't getting any conversions, make sure you use ALEXA to track down the demographics of RELATED WEBSITES of the product's niche category so that you can target specific audience who will soon become your potential leads. I use banner ads.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • how much you got paid for posting this? you got accepted into mobpartner 2 weeks ago and already earned a laptop? the stuff you mention does not relate to blind network at all, im sure you did not try this mobile cpa. you were hired to post.

  • Hi David,

Quick question. As you are only allowed to upload 1 banner per campaign in buzzcity, how are you split testing between the different creatives, or are you setting up a new campaign for each banner uploaded?

Also, is there a way to add any other banner types apart from .gif?

    Thanks

    • Hi,

      anybody using Admoda?
I followd the great guide of Volkansen on how to properly track a Mobile CPA campaign but I have no idea what to set on mobafftracker as Backlink url in the "Traffic Channel" section. (Admoda is not a prefilled source).

      So far i tried:
      https://api.admoda.com
      https://api.admoda.com/v1/advertiser/stats/campaigns

On the other hand I'm not getting the conversions, is it related to the issue above o something wrong with the callback url on mobpartner or both?.

      Thanks
      • [2] replies
    • I create multiple campaigns for each banner. I put the name of the new banner into the name of the new campaign. That way I can easily split-test be comparing the CTR in both campaigns within BuzzCity's stats.

As far as .gif is concerned: You can upload gif, jpg and png. For more details check this link: BuzzCity's Content Guideline

      Hope, that helped?

  • I read the manual / FAQ and do not fully understand.
Make an offer for $ 0.01 Asia country more deals to one, two, three countries usually U.S., UK.
Maybe one or two deals are the Wordwide.
How to add an offer that is right for the U.S. market and add target India for example, it makes no sense because in india will not see this offer.

    Can anyone help.
    Thank you.

    • i checked buzzcity campaign planner here. if i check any of the countries it will show its minimum bid and recommended bid.
if recommended bid is $0.07 and i set my CPC to $0.07 or higher will this increase my campaign exposure.
Is it ideal to bid higher than the recommended bid?

  • Can one try mobile CPA without having Android or iPhone?

I mean, can one verify things just by some online mobile phone simulator?
    • [2] replies
    • Depends on what you mean by "verify"!

You can easily check how your ad will appear in that country by using a proxy. (You can't just click your own ad w/o proxy since it'll show you a related ad for your country IF it shows you anything at all!)

I highly recommend doing that! I had campaigns for a game that lead people to an adult/dating site when clicked. You won't get conversions since the ad doesn't match the content, but still pay for each click!

I never tried entering a phone number since it only would send u an SMS anyways. The landing page the ad leads one to when your ad is being clicked is more important.

      Hope, that helped?
    • Even if you own an Android or iPhone you won't use it often too for mobile CPA, because the landing page will shown differently on every devices. Normally people just use a simulator to test landing page on several kind of devices...

Some landing page require you to view only from specific country, so you need a proxy too before using the phone simulator.
  • I use to test offer on UK US AR in Tapit but I have low traffic. Can you suggest me about Tapit? Thanks

  • Hi,

Do you send your own banners to your account manager ? ( MobPartner )

    Code:
    FAQ MobPartner
Can I use my own creatives / banners?
    • [1] reply
    • YES, always! Just email them the banners you created. Its very painless, and they usually don't reject your banner unless it's grossly mis-representing the offer or against their TOS.

Think about it this way: lets assume they have an offer for pepsi products. If you create a banner with coke images: thats a violation. They need to protect THEIR client's interest, in that example pepsi.

Just play it according to their rules, or you'll loose all your commissions AND get banned.

  • will surely try for asia
  • learned alot in this thread thanks i was going to split test 3 different banners at first but makes more sense to just start off with one and then split once we actually see there is life in the campaign (conversions)
  • How long do I have to wait for adfonic approval .Its been 6 days already and didnt hear from them at all
  • Would you be able to answer my question above?
  • Thank you very much for your help
  • Thanks David. This is a great thread.

I am a newbie ,I learned from your steps and had no good result.

So my opreating maybe some mistake.

I want to know how to do the 5 step and 6 step?

How to split test? carrier and OS ?

How to scale ti? copy more campagins ?

hope to get your advice.Thank you .
  • This is great info.

We now offer mobile advertising in the 300 x 50 banner size only in our network. At this time we are only able to do geotargeting, not by device. I am happy to work with anyone that wants to test our network, us traffic is our highest impression count for mobile.
  • Thank you David and every other person that has contributed questions and answers to this thread.
It is obvious different strategies work for different people, there are however some key points I believe are crucial when starting up with mobile cpa.

    1. Picking An Offer. What offers works well?..... Well, there is no straight answer nor guarantees for that....... You find a winner by testing multiple offers. So, don't just stop on your first bad campaign. lunch more...

    2. Tracking. Everyone will agree with me that tracking is of great importance. Learn to set up your tracking even before you know which ad network to use on your campaign. A couple of suggestions have been made, I personally use mobaff and the more recent mobit from Matomy.

    3. Create Banners. Its a must to be able to get banners when you need them. Learn to create or outsource your banners. And when you do, make sure you get them approved by the offer advertiser.

    4. Launch your Campaigns: Depending on your offer targeting requirements, learn to properly target your offers or else you would be loosing money and clicks.

    5. Analyze And Optimize: Before you can do this, you need to have invested a little in getting data. This is where you see profitable and loosing trends and should optimize your campaigns appropriately.

    6. Learn what works for you and scale it up. You would be glad you took the time to learn.
