Global Affiliate Advice

Hi,

I have just signed up to Warrior as it has been advised as the best forum for Affiliates and I'm seeking some advice.

We have a You Tube Platform based on How to Make up Video's Beauty and the Boutique - YouTube

We are looking at becoming a publisher and joining an affiliate network when we promote certain beauty products.

However our You Tube audience is 40% UK based 30% USA 5% Canada 20% Europe.

My concern is that when including the affiliate URL we would have to cater for the various countries and provide different URL's which to be honest would be confusing, other then adopt a network like Amazon is there any advice on this issue or ways round this for global network solution.

I'm quite embryonic into the research (2 days) so as mentioned i'm new to this, so would appreciate any advice.

Many thanks

Lorfy

It is extremely easy actually... you just have to use a third party tracker (which you should anyway if you're really serious about internet marketing), I recommend either Bevo (which is free and have geographic options), then you set up redirects for each different country, you gonna target. Meaning they will be send to different offers, depending on the country they're comming from, even from the same link. All this automatically.

Besides you may track your traffic, to know your best converting banners/placements/landing pages/offers, for each different country. Prosper202 is a real great tracker as well, but can't remember if they have a geo targeting option (is been a while since I used it). Anyway you can google for some GEO script redirects, there are free ones available, then you may download the free version of Maxmind's geo database, put them up in a decent hosting and voila, you're all set with very little investment (which I recommend when just starting out).

I know all the tech slang sounds a bit daunting, but is very simple at the core. And once you set up your first tracking-redirect, you can do it a thousand times over with ease.

Anyway feel free to hit me up if I can give you a hand, I'm often quite busy, but always glad to help a fellow IMer, when got I the chance.

Happy hollidays and great luck with any future endevours.
