What's the suggested bid and what are you bidding at?

You always should bid higher than your suggested bid to get quick impressions over your ads.

and Facebook shows the suggested bid on the basis on your account history (Your average account CTR, total spend and lot many factors)

    let's take an example.

    I setup one ad: suggested bid 0.40 --> I bid 0.30

In second adL Suggested Bid: 0.40 --> I bid 0.80

When I start the ad first ad will take huge time to start any impressions on it. while second will start getting impresioons and click much earlier.

    After that you will find:

    Ad 1: actual CPC: 0.20
    Ad2: Actual CPC: 0.20

My point is if you set your max bid as $5 per click to your ads, you are not going to pay that much actully. Your actual price per click is depends on the ad CTR, Competition in your targeted.

I bid higher just so my ad get shown faster. When I see that the CTR decrease or the CPC increase, I play a lot with the bid or the image to get a good CTR and CPC

Your Max bid just tell Facebook that how much max amount you are okay to par per click.

Anyways, Focus very hard on your ad and the right audience to get an high CTR and a low CPC in return.

Increase your ad bid above maximum suggest bid or use optimized cpm.

What's your budget and what is this for?

Think of it from a business point of view and put yourself in Facebook's shoes.

They have 10 guys all wanting to show ads in the same niche. So who do they pick?

2 guys spend $500 per day
    1 spends $1,000 per day
8 spend under $10 per day

Who do you give impressions to if you're Mark Z?

(I've run into this with $100 per day budgets on some of my campaigns, the real big hitters are just hogging all the action!)

Try increasing your budget by $0,05-0,07 (or more if you are comfortable). Stop increasing once you start receiving a satisfying number of impressions.

    Good luck with your campaigns!

see if you can reduce the potential audience while retaining the suggested bid by redefining your interest tags. you are bound to see improvement

Yeah you definitely might have to increase your budget a bit. As mentioned you might have others spending much more therefore yours might not even be seen.
