Do you buy a new domain for each landing page?

I am wondering, I should buy a new domain for each landing page I create for a CPA offer, or are you guys using subdomains from a more generic domain?

A tip on this will be appreciated.
Thanks!

You can use any domains to contain your landing pages.

You don't have to. You put your landing pages in folders on the server. For example...

    www.mysite.com/landingpage1/
    www.mysite.com/landingpage3/
    www.mysite.com/landingpage3/

Or you can setup sub-domains for the domain. For example...

    landingpage1.mysite.com
    landingpage2.mysite.com
    landingpage3.mysite.com

I only buy a new domain for stuff if I am doing SEO

For paid traffic, I have put landers on domains where the name has absolutely nothing to do with the niche, and they have still converted

So that's your experience, but is this bad practice. I know this would turn me off, but that doesn't mean it would for others.

      eg. niche123.com/unrelated_niche vs. generic.com/niche123

I have no problem purchasing a more generic domain, but no point in wasting money.

I know you'll hate this answer but it depends..

If I know I want to get knee deep in a niche, then yes, if it's just testing the waters, then i'll probably used a "shared" domain until I see how it does.. then eventually if it's profitable then I'll get the domain

You can use a subdomain or a TLD but keep in mind to use keywords in this domain name

I keep a separate domain for each niche I'm targeting. For example, if I'm targeting miniature golf, I'll buy a domain related to miniature golf and will set up all of my mini golf landing pages on that domain. When I decide to target something else, I'll buy a new domain and use it for the new niche.

The only problem with this technique is I tend to get great ideas and will buy a new domain for them on a whim, but for one reason or another I never get around to building the landing page. I now have a nice little collection of unused domains sitting around in my hosting account...

    Use subfolder for each Angle
and within that folder split test 3 diff LP with a PHP script

    that would be

    3 angles 3 LP each

9 LP variation beign tested at the same time
works great and you save money and time

Using domain which looks like an real domain is a best way.

For example if the domain is com-1.us
with that doamin you are create many sub domains like

    dating.com-1.us
    health.com-1.us
    game.com-1.us

All visitors will ignore the things after the .com, so they will think that you are using dating.com

Using sub folders is also nice idea, but this subdomain looks much better than sub folders.

Using Sub Domains on a Generic domain has worked well for me.

    Example: niche.my-domain.com or offername.my-domain.com

You can install Wordpress in your hosting provider and manage each landing page with wordpress'pages or wordpress'posts.

I use posts because this have categories in order to group that landing pages.

Remember setup the permalinks to show the url of each post with your title.

In this way each post is a landing page.

I use a wordpress' theme minimalist (blank page sale) in order to manage my landings pages.

      Thanks a lot.

I really would have to agree with greedy. People don't notice enough what the actual website name is... The landing page should be eye catching enough and topic oriented enough to keep eyes off the address bar.

The address bar to me are like people's shoes.... How often are you looking at someone's shoes when you are in a conversation with them?
