What happens when you lose your job? Typically, you lose the only source of income you have. It's not a the kind of experience any of us want to ever go through. But for an increasing number of people, it's something that's happening with greater and greater frequency.

What's the solution?

You can either go out and try and find another job, or start a business. I usually recommend taking a hybrid approach. That means you continue looking for a job while starting a business. I recently received an e-mail from a man who found my training materials on the Internet and who followed my advice. Trouble was, he was over the age of 55 and felt as though his chances of finding comparable employment were small. So he placed more of an emphasis on starting and growing an eBook publishing business.

Within two weeks, he had already settled on a niche and had produced three eBooks. This is a very unique example. Not everyone works as quickly as this. Within the first month, this man had already made over $1,500 and was on track to see that number increase. What an inspiring story. I asked him if there were one thing that made the difference. He said it came down to two things. First, having a road map to follow. I asked him to elaborate on this. He said that everyone should imagine having an eBook publishing business that produce a couple thousand dollars a month. Visualize what your life would be like if you had that money coming in. He said that when things got rough or he was feeling depressed, he'd remind himself of what a wonderful feeling it would be like to be successful online.
