A long article was sent yesterday from Shutterstock. The article is about LG working with Shutterstock. How will this help Internet Marketers in the future, parts of the article below.

""Our image-understanding AI model has a better ability to describe the context of images in detail compared to human annotation. Its goal is to help marketers spend more time strategizing innovative marketing campaigns rather than manually searching for appropriate images for their creatives,"

Some information - "LG's generative AI model is also being used or tested by some of its affiliate companies. AI can generate distinctive images for a variety of uses: helping people design and change their tattoos daily with a tattoo printer that uses vegan ink, personalize images displayed on consumer electronics devices, and print customized creatives and package designs for cosmetic products. " [B]The Goal[/B ] "Our goal is clear. AI will help designers and artists be more creative," AI keeps improving the ability to generate images, human experts can focus more on creative thinking rather than mundane visualization challenges."

The article also talks about use of images in the medical field and New York Fashion Week.

    They also say they compensate those that have their work used...which is a good thing. If you look at what LG AI is doing, they're way further advanced than LLMs like ChatGPT. LG has some good products and even better ones coming out.

    About all the video/image sites are jumping on the AI bandwagon...of course, some have been using it for a few years now, and others are upgrading their AI technology.

    Adobe has their new firefly that is in beta.

    Then of course the gorilla right now in video is capcut which is owned by the same company as tiktok and is where most tiktokers make their videos...

    makes me wonder if they'll be allowed to continue if tiktok is banned.

      I'm not sure exactly how this works, it sounds like you create an image that is licensed and collect a royalty. When you click on the link in the article it takes you to the investors' page. Then you have to view the short video.

      I see this in a different article on their webpage - "Contributors whose work was used to train these models will be fairly compensated through Shutterstock's Contributor Fund, and they will also be compensated whenever new generative content that uses their IP is created and licensed by customers." I'm curious how someone could train their models?

      I see another point on Shutterstock's home page the ai will help generate flyers. There is at least one poster on this forum, which use to design flyers or possibly banners. I could imagine someone here that is creative could use the help of ai to design flyers and sell them online.

      Looks like LG offers other partnerships.. "Park worked with Tilda, an AI human with a brain powered by EXAONE" That is just one company in the article but on LG's website they work with other creatives.

      Never heard of "caput" but if it's owned by byte-dance, I would guess they would be banned in the US also.

    By partnering with LG, Shutterstock is going to offer some new AI tools this year:

    "An AI image generator, an AI image captioning software, and an AI creative toolkit, are among the launches you can expect from Shutterstock+LG in 2023."

    They have given LG AI a license to use their material to train LGs EXAONE platform which will produce these new AI-driven tools. From what I understand all contributors will be compensated from certain proceeds that come out of the licensing agreement that was sold. How it actually will work is also something I have no idea of.

    Shutterstock also sold a license to OpenAI for the rights to use their stuff in 2020 when they were building DALL-E-2.

    These license agreements...and the EXAONE Atelier platform are things that quite frankly are often over my head.

    As far as capcut...

    The most downloaded video editing software there is. 200 million plus active monthly users. They've exploded just as quickly as TikTok which is beginning to raise a lot of questions and concerns...

    it's been banned already I believe in 3 countries.
