AI-generated content doesn't make communities and forum a better place

The conversations and interactions don't sound authentic. The tone sounds very repetitive, and lacks personality and essence.

That's because conversations and interactions require you to talk with someone. People are using AI-generated content to talk at someone.

I honestly feel that it is only a matter of time. Machine Learning is progressing at an impeccable rate already and we can easily hope to have completely humanized AI chatbots within a couple of years.

I doubt you will see those chatbots here. Because AI is against the forum rules, resulting in posts being deleted and possibly a permanent ban.

And to answer the Original poster it makes forums worse!

Yep, but that's the point. Once humanized, it'll be difficult for anyone (human/other AI) to distinguish between AI content and human-written content.

I do agree with you though. The present AI generated content does lack emotions.

AI can be used for many purposes:

    1. Article writing...

ok, but seriously, I agree. Whenever I see an answer with bullet points like I just started I usually assume it was an AI answer...or if it sounds boring and monotone.

If answers are allowed to be written with AI...then soon maybe posts will be all AI. Then AI can post and AI can answer...it would be one busy place...

but, since AI doesn't have any money, I'm not sure who would buy anything advertised.

You all sound like a bunch of sticks in the mud.

Instead of embracing A.I., you keep complaining about
it as if it's going somewhere, when it is here to day.

So far, I have used it to publish KDPs, with content that
was generated by A.I. and declared as such on the
    KDP submission form.

I am also using it to produce videos, again 99% A.I.
created content. I would describe my process but it
    is proprietary.

I am doing a couple of other things with A.I., and I'm
    just getting started.

And as a hobby, for fun, I post A.I. generated images
to a hobby/pastime site, I have a small following as
I just started doing this a couple of months ago.

People LOVE these images. They are displaying
rather large here, I do not have time to resize them
right now, I really am busy working on other things.

First off those are nice photos! On the other hand, you probably do not realize how many AI-generated posts are deleted here daily. Admin and the moderators have their hands filled with the nonsense being dropped here every day.

Thank you for bringing up the topic of AI-generated content in communities and forums. While AI has made remarkable progress, I firmly believe that the authenticity and human touch are irreplaceable. Genuine connections, diverse opinions, and engaging conversations are the lifeblood of these platforms. AI-generated content, although impressive, can sometimes lack the personality and essence that make discussions truly meaningful. However, I remain hopeful for the future, where a balance between AI and human contributions can enhance our online communities even further.

AI-generated content often has data and facts, and tools like Text Humanizer can make this process easier. However, AI doesn't provide the depth of human understanding or empathy, which are important for building community. This can lead to issues with trust and authenticity, and the content might not always be relevant. Moderating such discussions can be challenging, and there may be questions about ethical transparency on discussion boards. It's essential to find a balance between AI and human contributions, as both are important for creating meaningful community interactions.
