Blogging great content but minimal promotion

If you create a blog that has epic content in a profitable niche but you want to keep promoting, SEO, social media to a minimum. What at the most minimal do you have to do to get your blog noticed and get traffic?

Maybe a silly questions but like to know where is the line between no traffic and good traffic.

    Hi James,

This is a common problem for newcomers. Joe Newbie puts his heart and soul into a blog, filling it with terrific content, only to fall at the last hurdle - traffic.

You've heard the phrase, "Content is King." Well, whilst this is true, every king requires help from their subjects. The same is true for digital content.

If you have limited time to build traffic, then I'd suggest passive traffic models. These help you grow large volumes of long-sustaining traffic. In other words, you want the work you do today to be sending you traffic for months or years to come. That way, you can build on the traffic you already have, as opposed to starting each day with zero traffic.

Which traffic methods you use will depend on your skills and available resources. But I can tell you that YouTube is, IMO, the most ideal way to generate passive traffic.
    • Search Listings in YouTube.
    • Search Listing in Google.
    • YouTube Subscribers.
    • Further YouTube Exposure Through Recommended Results.
    • You can grow your off-YouTube audience (lists, socials).
    • People can share your videos around socials.
The combination of the above really helps with passive traffic.

    Cheers,

    Tom
