    The only way to grow your subscribers, is to keep creating great YouTube videos on a regular basis. Daily or weekly. You can decide your frequency of uploading your YouTube videos on your channel.

    Depending on what you are planning to do with your YouTube channel, just make sure you can monetize your content that you are providing to your YouTube subscribers.

    You need a strategy as nowadays the competition is bigger and bigger in each niche.. You can target the low competition keywords at first till your channel start to get some subs and engagement and youtube gives you some traffic and then you can go into more competitive areas..

    You can use a chrome extension for finding the best keywords with low competition that can bring your many daily views. I use vidspy pro chrome extension..

    Also you need to optimize each video for SEO and CTR (watch on youtube Brian Dean videos about how to rank on youtube). Be prepared to put some effort into this..it's not that easy as it was 4-5 years ago..

    Solving specific problems suffered by your viewers and building your friend network does wonders in growing your channel viewership.

    Be you and allow your authentic self to shine through videos. Ask folks to subscribe to your channel at video end. Energize your vids; allow your creativity to shine through videos. Get comfy in front of the camera if you do head shot videos.

    Well, video content quality is a must for you to pay attention more if you want to grow your channel and gain more subscribers. But other than that maybe you can try to optimize your channel? Let say, buy those service that can help in advising you how to optimize your video, and maybe buy the subscribers? But.... only real subscribers. There are still some sites that can provide you with real users as the subscribers, not bots.

    Ask people if they like your videos to subscribe.

    It is an often overlooked strategy but people need direction in some circumstances so simple calls to action and overlays that ask the viewer to take an action can have an effect on whether someone takes an action or not.

    Look at drop off times and make sure you ask before people leave.

    Apart from creating great content and asking people to subscribe to your channel you can do a lot of other stuff like:

    - Promote you channel on other channels in your niche or related (you need to build a relationship with them or just pay them a small amount in return)
    - Promote your channel outside of youtube (on your blog if you have one, or on facebook, etc)
    - Make a contest and give some prizes when you reach a certain amount of subs, keep in mind that the contest need to be promoted also outside of youtube
    - Promote your best videos with Youtube ads

    Focus on making content that you would love to watch yourself.

    Then try and get keywords sorted. Go for high searched keywords with low competition. I use VidIQ, it works really well and suggests lots of keywords. Make sure each video has high quality keywords on the tags area. A decent thumbnail is important as well.


    Then optimizing each video you make. So doing/hiring SEO work (making backlinks, articles that are HIGH QUALITY), buying/getting likes or comments (https://goo.gl/GwRaEA). (Engagement is really important for your videos to rank the search engines).

    And as other people have said, doing competitions (etc) or stuff that builds up some kind of fanbase/community.

    The strategy is the same as blogging.

    You need to be consistent at putting out content. At least once a week, more is better and dont' miss any weeks.

    You need to rank your videos. Do keyword research in google and youtube.

    Niche down.

    Be yourself.

    Get good at creating good thumbnails. Look at what others are doing.

    High quality content will always be key to attracting new subscribers. Posting regularly updated content is also vital. You need to think in terms of becoming an authority in your niche and delivering value to your users.

    You also need to know how to create and edit videos to be successful at this game. There are no shortcuts except hardwork!
