The only thing I can suggest is placing an ad in the Warriors for Hire section, offering your services in some capacity. You have nothing to lose by doing so.

To keep this concise, I'll use bullet points:
    • I'm 30+ years old, I have a MENSA-level IQ (I have potential, but am failing to live up to it, apparently), and I run my own business (offline).
    • Jack of all trades, capable of learning anything, but lacking direction/focus, no mentors or role models + bad luck + bad choices led me to today, nobody else's fault but my own, I'm just accepting it and also acknowledging that I'm capable of much, much more
    • Tried investing thousands of dollars over the past few years in various ventures, but gave up after they failed to produce results (I'm not patient, I know this is a problem).

I know there are people who just know how money works. I come from a poor family and have been surrounded by negativity my whole life. I have persevered, however, and found ways through physical labor to always stay on top. I launched my own businesses relentlessly, refusing to settle for 9-5. I'm being faced with a huuuuuuge set back I can't begin to describe here. Suffice to say, I'm desperate. But not stupid. I want to take this sense of urgency and this capacity to succeed and make something happen.

I know this is vague and probably a long shot, but I'm trying to reach out for help. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I feel like I'm very capable of making myself (and others) a lot of profit. I have social skills and competence in every aspect of business except the actual wherewithal, it's so self-defeating I'm trying to escape this mentality and figure out exactly "what" to do. I know I can "do it", but I don't know what "it" is.

The way my brain works, this is extremely difficult for me. While it may be easy for you, please appreciate my sincerity in this matter.

Is anyone here willing to hire me or take me on as an apprentice? Perhaps pay me on a comission basis? I think that I could prove extremely useful to someone who knows how to direct this energy for me.

Please feel free to respond in any way, I'm an open book, just trying to lay my thoughts out here for someone who may be on the same wavelength as me at this time. Maybe something can come from this, maybe not.

    Thank you.
Well, I will offer you my EVALUATION and Mission Appraisal service at no cost.

What I need from you is your birthday, time of birth and place. Where you lived for the first 12 years of your life. And followed up with a phone conversation and I'll give you a very fast track to profits, which would best suit your unique situation, fair enough?

If you want, contact me, although the reply is in violation of the TOS of the WF, in that they don't want people saying contact me, I can help. With acknowledging that, contact me, I can help. Prefer email: gjabiz@yahoo.com

You can start with affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing, is marketing a product vendor's product online/offline, and you receive a commission for each sale you make.

Digital products are easy to deliver to the purchaser online, so you will usually get anywhere from 70% to 100% commission, for promoting and selling digital products online.

Digital products are ebooks, audio and video products that can he downloaded to your buyer's device, that they are making the purchase from online.

To find out more about affiliate marketing, you can use the search function on this forum and read all the threads pertaining to "how to do affiliate marketing" or "how to be an affiliate marketer".

I've read about this, it's just that it seems like it requires some start up capital and a lot of time. I am willing to do this when I'm in a better position, but I feel the anxiety of needing some faster results. I know there is no easy get rich quick scheme.

I need to make about $2000-4000 a month within the next 1-2 months and then I will be able to invest more in alternatives.

Until I Can find something to get me that extra source of income then I am struggling to find it because it's crunch time.

Any particular affiliate marketing idea maybe through ClickFunnels and aggressive facebook marketing that you're aware of which could yield quick profits? (like selling knives to rednecks on facebook in a clickfunnel sales website?)

What you described is complex and has so many moving parts you won't figure it all out in time. ClickFunnels alone can halt people in their tracks with its complexity.

Here are the things you need:

        1. A group of people who admit to having a problem you can fix, and are willing to exchange money for that solution.

        2. A way of getting in front of those people with your offer.

        3. A method for taking their payment and fulfilling the solution.

        That's it.

        Traffic...

        ...and Conversion...

        ...and Fulfillment.

The more you complicate this process, with all the bells and whistles other marketers who are trying to sell you stuff and are saying you MUST HAVE, the longer it'll take to make money.

What can you provide for people? A service is usually the fastest way to make money.

It sounds like you want to offer some services or some type of freelancing, do you know what you can do to help people? Such as writing articles? link building? websites? etc?

Once you figure this out, then you can post on the warriors for hire section..

Makes sense, "Keep it Simple, Stupid" KISS comes to mind.

Thanks for the reminder. I do have a lot of services that my gf and I can offer. I have trouble finding the people who want it and also sealing the deal.

For instance, I have a paint business (no website yet though) but have a few clients. A lot of clients look for other contractors, they take a lot of bids and my prices may be high because I don't like selling business short.

My gf has a lifecoaching business https://producelove.com is the website I built for her. I think I need to monetize it better and figure out how to get her clients.

She is offering a service that women want/need, but i need to get her in front of people like you said. Keep it simple, right.

Lots of services, from painting to life coaching, web design, marketing, etc...

I thought of starting a marketing company, because I have experience building adwords campaigns, etc... I just don't have the money to run them myself, but I know how to successfully run them.

Thank you everyone for your reponses thus far!

    Really, life or death?

So you've put your life in the hands of strangers? Well, you've already screwed up.

We can give advice but this isn't the employment office. If you want to work online you've got to stop being a drama queen and man up. Get off your butt and get an offline job short term so you're not desperate.

When things settle down for you then you can put some effort into learning how to make money online the right way, without the desperate time sensitive drama.

    Priorities first.

    Focus.

    Greetings Robert,

It sounds as if you are dealing from a position of desperation and that is the worse time to try to start a business. I doubt believe that your state of mind will allow you to effectively concentrate on everything required to plan, launch, operate and succeed at any business at this time, unless you are that rare person that can rise above the obstacles that life has placed in your path.

Making $2k to $4k per month within the next 1 to 2 months is beyond difficult, it's all but impossible. I've tried to exorcise the word impossible from my personal lexicon, but one does need to be realistic.

The most important thing to realize that there are going to be all kinds of costs associated with producing a revenue stream of that amount. How much are you willing and able to spend to reach that income goal. From the way I read your post - almost nothing, it seems.

What you need is a way to make money that doesn't cost you a penny other than clean clothes and transportation, to and fro. This is the last thing that you want to hear, but you need a job, my friend. I'll probably be the only one to say this to you, because the dream merchants would like you to believe that if you just do this, that, or the other - you can be successful. Maybe - but NOT in the time frame and amount of income you say you require.

You and I both know that being a member of MENSA and $3.00 will get you a decent cup of coffee at many places. Beyond that, it has little benefit unless you use your gift to find a way to overcome your situation.

I was in your position once. I couldn't feed my family, we were about to be evicted and I felt hopeless. I picked-up the want ads and looked for a job that would enable me to use my innate abilities, which did not go much beyond being tenacious by nature and enjoying talking to people while practicing my very intense talent to utilize the power of persuasion on people.

There was only one job for me. That was telemarketing. No limits on your income, no expenses to get started, lots of good opportunities and the ability to sink or swim on one's own dedication to learning and working to improve their skills on a daily basis.

I was making $800 from week one and quickly went to $1500 a week and established myself as the top-producer in the room. How - by listening to those around me and realizing that anyone could do this is you are simply agreeable to picking up the phone and using it. And the more you did that, since it's nothing but a numbers game, the more money you would make.

Was this my dream job? Not when I started. Wound-up spending over 10 years in the arena and loved every minute of it.

Unlike everyone else, I'm not going to tell you what you should be doing to make money - meaning other than telling you that you need a job, I'm not going to tell you what I think that job should be. I do always recommend telemarketing to people in your situation as it can be the fastest way too turn your life around.

Once you get stabilized you can then realistically begin to chart a new path for yourself at running your own business. You need to get financially stabilized and emotionally calmed. The inner turmoil that you are obviously experiencing will not allow you to concentrate strongly enough on the list of things required to launch a new business. Your brain is jumping from one frantic thought to another. That simply will not bring you a solution.

Step back from the abyss, suck it up, honestly evaluate your situation and current potential to overcome it and do something that will be a positive step forward. Your dreams aren't going anywhere, but for the time being, you need to focus on keeping your eyes wide open.

Put on your big boy pants and look for a good job until you get stabilized. There are worse things in life. Trust me on this.

Doing what you're doing now, will not bring you any relief and I'm sure that you have already discovered that you are feeling more frantic, more hopeless, more indecisive and more lost with each passing day. Tomorrow will only be worse, as will each new day until you put the brakes on your downward emotional slide.

You CAN do this. It's NOT forever!

Sorry if I have overstepped my bounds.

    Cheers.

Not exactly. I can offer services to people but as others have eluded to, I cannot afford to sustain the numbers that it costs to run a business right now.

Yes, that's how desperate I am, to ask strangers. Exactly.

It involves my family and a very strange situation which I couldn't even make up. It could be a novel.

Thank you for your considerate response, you didn't overstep anything, I asked for this. I wanted all of the advice I could get so I can see things from a different perspective.

I currently earn enough money to afford my life, but not enough to afford the things I want and need beyond the expensive rent + other necessities.

Basically huge legal bills and not enough resources have pushed me in this way.

I have a regular job already but it's not earning me $1000-1500 per week, I want to make that again (I used to).

I'll look into telemarketing if it's possible to earn that much, but from my understanding people are struggling everywhere with shitty wages due to employers not paying out. There is over 50% poverty in this area where I live due to overpopulation and lack of jobs (unless you're in the medical field).

I guess you're right, there is no way I can create a business and earn this income right away.

You're basically telling me to stay in the rat race until I climb out slowly. But I'm 30 and I've been almost climbed out and because I'm a risk-taker combined with bad luck and some shitty circumstances outside of my control, I have repeatedly had to restart my life (at least 3-4 times I've gone from climbing to trailer park poor).

It's becoming a roller coaster I am bored of

That's important. There's nothing wrong with seeking advise, not even from strangers. Oftentimes getting feedback from strangers could prove to be more valuable because unlike family and friends, a stranger has no expectations for your life. :-)

I currently earn enough money to afford my life, but not enough to afford the things I want and need beyond the expensive rent + other necessities.
Oh, so your main complaint is that your life is like most people in this country, if not actually better than most? Really? This response may not be as sympathetic as my last one. :-)

Basically huge legal bills and not enough resources have pushed me in this way.
Again, you can rename the challenges, but almost everyone has been pushed to the edge by whatever their personal challenges might be. Look around you. Are your friends and family enjoying the good life with nary a worry in the world? Is your girlfriend? Anyone you know up close and personal?

I have a regular job already but it's not earning me $1000-1500 per week, I want to make that again (I used to).
Well, although this will piss-off a lot of people when they read it, truth be told, I'm sure that 99% of the people that are on this forum would give their left gonad to be making that money, steady, every week. You want to make it, again (you used to). Not many people here ever have or ever will. There are exceptions, of course, but there's a ton of dreamers, here.

I'll look into telemarketing if it's possible to earn that much, but from my understanding people are struggling everywhere with shitty wages due to employers not paying out.
I think you misunderstood. I wasn't recommending it for you as much as attempting to give an example of one option. I guess I should have mentioned that you need to find what's right for you. Telemarketing was right for me, but you could fail miserably at it. Most do. My point was, what is your equivalent opportunity as telemarketing was to me. I was desperate, I saw an opportunity and I grabbed it. I was also fortunate that it clicked for me. Actually, I had prior experience in the game, but at a much lower level. Hard to even compare them.

There is over 50% poverty in this area where I live due to overpopulation and lack of jobs (unless you're in the medical field).
That means only one thing. To look outside the medical field would be a waste of your time and talent. I would think that it would be a field where someone with your intellectual horsepower could find a great opportunity. They certainly exist. And if one doesn't exist, already, create one.

When I came home from Vietnam the very first thing I did after kissing my mother was buy a 1968 650cc Triumph Bonneville. I had a picture of that bike taped to the wall of my hooch and dreaming of getting to go home and ride it, helped keep me alive.

After a few months of being home I decided that I wanted to work in a motorcycle shop. I went down to Triumph of Philadelphia, walked in, took a look around, huffed that Castrol SAE30, heard the roar of the engines being worked on in the service department and immediately knew one thing. I was home. Hmmmm. How to get a job? The floor was filthy - everything from candy wrappers, cigarette butts to sawdust. I spotted a broom in the corner. A big-ass push broom, which obviously hadn't been touched in days.

I grabbed that puppy and started sweeping my ass off. Employees would walk by and I'd nod and give them and a big ear to ear shit eatin' grin - and kept pushin' that broom. The only thing missing was gospel music playing loudly in the background.

Eventually, this managerial type came by and in his most officious manner asked, "Who are you and what are you doing?" I rocked back on my heels and looked at him with total disdain. I replied, "Never mind who I am? Who are you?" He said, "My name is Ron and I own this business - so - once, again - who are you? I replied with, "Hi Ron, my name is Frank and I'm the new employee." "New employee," he retorted. "I do all of the hiring and I've never hired you!" "You've got me there, Ron. I guess I should have said that I'm about to be your newest employee, because you are going to give me a job."

He did give me a job. I started by pushing a broom, eventually started selling used bikes, then new bikes and within a year I was the sales manager. One of the best jobs I've ever had in my entire life. I created that job out of nothing but sheer brazenness.

Get off your ass and if you can't find a better job, then have someone create one based on you not really giving them a choice. This ain't movie script crap. This is what you do if you want to be in charge of your life. Of course, if you don't believe you're capable of such presumptuous behavior - well, what can I say to that?

I guess you're right, there is no way I can create a business and earn this income right away.
"A bird in the hand" - if you know what I mean.

You're basically telling me to stay in the rat race until I climb out slowly.
If you see an alternative, I'm all ears and would be as supportive as humanly possible. What I won't do is blow smoke up your ass and tell you that "if you just believe in yourself," or "just spend your life looking to help others as much as possible," the money will flow into your bank account. That's just crap put-out by people who know nothing about life, or making money. Sounds great, but you'll wind-up eating those words, because in the end, if you believe that drivel - that's all you'll have. Words. Unfortunately, most of them will stamped on credit card statement, that read "PAST DUE."

      But I'm 30
The fact that you're still shittin' yellow is part of the problem. Who has learned anything about life by the age of 30? lol

and I've been almost climbed out and because I'm a risk-taker
Could be interpreted as a self-destructive personality.

      combined with bad luck

Well, only you know if that's true or just more excuses.

I have repeatedly had to restart my life (at least 3-4 times I've gone from climbing to trailer park poor).
I'm willing to bet that you've never lived in a trailer park. I have - more than once.

Oh, so your main complaint is that your life is like most people in this country, if not actually better than most? Really? This response may not be as sympathetic as my last one. :-)

Again, you can rename the challenges, but almost everyone has been pushed to the edge by whatever their personal challenges might be. Look around you. Are your friends and family enjoying the good life with nary a worry in the world? Is your girlfriend? Anyone you know up close and personal?

Well, although this will piss-off a lot of people when they read it, truth be told, I'm sure that 99% of the people that are on this forum would give their left gonad to be making that money, steady, every week. You want to make it, again (you used to). Not many people here ever have or ever will. There are exceptions, of course, but there's a ton of dreamers, here.

"A bird in the hand" - if you know what I mean.

The fact that you're still shittin' yellow is part of the problem. Who has learned anything about life by the age of 30? lol

Could be interpreted as a self-destructive personality.

Hah. I appreciate your raw approach, it's real and I agree with it. I guess I'm looking for answers on here that may not exist beyond what I already know.

I have some ideas to write children's books and sell them on Kindle.

I actually have lived in three different trailer parks in my life.

One involved alcohlism, the other involved pills and the entire park was bulldozed, the other was a last resort and the last time my family was in one.

I'm not just talking shit, I'm genuinely here trying my best. I understand some people shoot for sympathy or whatever. I don't care about any of that. I just want cold hard facts.

And, if possible, guidance towards a better path than the one I'm on.

You're motivating for sure, but I'm faced with some crazy shit right now. I can't begin to explain but it involves someone who killed themselves recently.

          So move.

Hit the road and put the crazy shit in the rear view mirror.

If you have something negative distracting you now, it's going to be there distracting you tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day...

You've got choices, so decide which one is more important.

That's true and besides - only you have the answer to your problems. No one here does - or anywhere else.

I have some ideas to write children's books and sell them on Kindle.
So - what's that, now? Idea number 10? Number 12?

I actually have lived in three different trailer parks in my life.
OK. You've out trailer parked me. I surrender my title. The question is - have you lived in your LAST trailer park???

          One involved alcohlism.
          Been there, done that.

the other involved pills and the entire park was bulldozed,
Never met a pill that I didn't love - unless it was a vitamin.

the other was a last resort and the last time my family was in one.
          There's no shame in that.

I'm not just talking shit, I'm genuinely here trying my best. I understand some people shoot for sympathy or whatever. I don't care about any of that. I just want cold hard facts.
You've been given all the facts you need. If you're looking for more - you are looking for sympathy and homey don't play dat.

And, if possible, guidance towards a better path than the one I'm on.
You know what they say. "The truth lies within yourself and the truth shall set you free." Do you know why they say that? Because it's the truth. :-)

You're motivating for sure, but I'm faced with some crazy shit right now.
Everyone has their own crazy shit. Crazy shit is the bane of human existence. Deal with it. In one way or another it will be with you until the big, dirt nap. All that will change is the degree of crazy shit on any given day.

I can't begin to explain but it involves someone who killed themselves recently.
I lost two of my absolute closest friends to suicide in the past 5 years. I mean my absolute closest. I've talked about it, here. Not a day goes by that I don't think about them. Since they're dead, rather than dwell on the pain of that fact, I rejoice in the absolute joy that having them in my life brought me. Whatever good I have inside me, they made flourish. The sadness is still there, but I never dwell on it. When it strikes, I simply think of something they did which made me laugh.

Don't perch yourself on the pity pot. Once you get your ass stuck in that thing, you might never get it out.

I think you're done here, unless you also enjoy beating a dead horse.

          Cheers and good luck.

Hey.. if you are desperate, first get a day job.. settle down on something to live with.. then try out online stuffs. You need to keep testing on stuffs and find out what works and what not. It will take some time. But once you find something that works, rinse and repeat...

Try offering you services to Fiverr or Freelancer or Upwork..

If successful, then think of quitting jobs and other stuffs that so called gurus say all the time.

Plz Plz don't develop "shiny object syndrome"..

Since posting this, I have been on a fast and steady road to improving everything one step at a time.

I have a steady job (career potential) earning a good income

I have stability in my life

I am taking steps towards all of my dreams (to help people, to share love and compassion and genuinely be a positive force for those around me)

I'm helping my friend at the moment to develop an IM strategy for his bodybuilding and personal fitness plans, he is a pro bodybuilder and I believe we will be very successful with our venture together.

Thank you all for your insight and help.

I posted this at a tragic time in my life, but I became determined to not give up and let it set me back, instead it only made me stronger.

      Out the ashes
