Is Email Marketing Dead? What R U Using For Autoreponders?

Hey guys!

3rd party email is ehhhh.. right? What about collecting emails? I am trying to run some CPA offers and trying the whole Landing Page > Email Opt In > Offer. I was looking into Klaviyo but have found that it's more for ecommerce. Is Mailchimp comparable? Klaviyo has premade funnels... sort of. What do you guys recommend?

Anything helps! Thank you.

    Hi,

Yes. I agree with you. 3rd party email marketing in my opinion is a difficult strategy to implement. Why?.. Because there is no relationship with the person whom you are sending out the email to. The person doesn't even know you. How can you expect that they will listen to you.

Compare this to capturing your subscriber's emails using an opt-in form. Not only will they know you, because they have wilfully subscribed to your list, but they will also be interested in learning from you because you would already have given them a free gift in exchange of their e-mail address. They would have seen the high quality of information which you would have shared with them in the freebie you gave them.

This makes them think, when the free stuff is so good, the paid stuff must be awesome...

This gives you an opportunity to build a life long relationship with them where you can educate them and also promote offers creating revenue for your business.

I run an email marketing based business using a simple autoresponder service (Sendlane) and am pretty happy with it. I get people to opt in to my email list using a simple opt in form which i have created with them and offer a free report in exchange.

I then share really high quality information with my list on a daily basis. This helps me build a solid relation with them, and when I promote offers, my subscribers buy handsomely from me, thus generating good revenue for me in the process as well.

So I get paid good enough for all the hard work I put in to educate and share quality information with my list everyday.

Hope this helps! Please feel free to message me in case you need any other help as well.

Thanks for sharing. Sendlane looks pretty sweet. I am using LeadPages for my landing pages right now. I don't believe there is an integration yet though. Maybe Zapier can help with that. Do you have an CPA niches that you recommend this model? I'm doing mostly bizops.

You are welcome. Yes Sendlane is pretty easy to use. Leadpages is also cool. You also have others like GetResponse etc. It basically depends on your budget and your requirements. Most of the autoresponders provide you a lot of flexibility as you grow.

Integration: I don't think there is an integration available yet. Yes, you can use Zapier to help you with the integration. Don't try to integrate manually (Not a Smart Idea... ... duuuhhhhhh)

CPA: Yes, I definitely recommend CPA over RevShare. You can also try PPL, but I really don't do a lot of them. I generally prefer CPA offers from Clickbank, JvZoo and CJ Affiliate. I prefer ascertaining a certain amount of income each month.

Niches: This generally works well with more or less any niche that's good for affiliate marketing. Health, wellness, dating, financial advice, personal development etc. Niche is something which is something which you should personally like. I follow a four step process to select a niche:
        1. Are there offers that I can find to promote in a niche?
        2. Are customers in that niche known to buy?
        3. Will I be able to market to that niche in a profitable way?
        4. Most importantly... do I personally love that niche?? (cause if I don't I will fade off in a few days..) I have detailed all of this in my e-book.

Bizops is an awesome niche to promote. Also, if you can provide information which is exclusive, then you are head and shoulders above your competition.

Hope this helps! Please feel free to connect if you have any other doubts as well.

        Thanks

Also, have you ever given away someone else's free ebook? I don't really have the content right now to create an ebook. Or is this a bad idea?

The first question is -- did they give you permission to give away their book? If not, then it's a bad idea.

Next, is it PLR and therefore a book that a lot of people in your niche have already seen? Then, yes, it's a bad idea. Or at least add something of your own to make it unique.

Will it introduce them to you and the value you have to offer?

This is your chance to make a great first impression. You want your freebie to WOW them so they want to buy your paid products.

Hey, I don't think that's a very cool idea. You don't want to get into plagiarism and right infringements (read LEGAL TROUBLE...)

So, it's better if you create your own content. Rose Anderson rightly mentioned PLR. You can try websites such as PLR assassin. Create a free account and get a taste of the content available on their website. However, you would still Need to Modify the content to claim full rights over it.

Also, you can fet freelance help from sites such as Fiverr and Upwork. You can get your e-book (content) created for a few bucks there. A tiny investment for your business..

You can then try dropbox to deliver the free content to your subscribers or you can directly e-mail the content to them.

        Hope this helps!

Email marketing is far from dead.
Mailchimp does not allow affiliate offers.
    I recommend aweber or getresponse

I use GetResponse and I am satisfied with that. Works for me. And let me confirm one thing, email marketing will never die. Only condition is that you maintain a quality list.

  • Aweber and Getresponse are both great.

I like Getresponse because of the statistics page, the online help support. However, they only allow 1 landing page if you have the $15 plan.

Aweber gives you more landing pages starting out, but their online support is not up to date with their web layout.

    Both are easy to navigate.

Yes. I believe all of the autoresponder services are good. It is more of your own personal requirements which define your purchase cause they offer you a lot of flexibile options to choose from.

  • Email marketing still works today. I am using Aweber, the performance is good. Others you may try GetResponse or MailChimp, they all have free trial.

Use either Aweber or Getresponse, I currently use both, and email marketing is far from dead, you can build a good relationship with your customers through email marketing if done correctly.

About the only time I have successfully given away someone else's ebook as a lead magnet was when the ebook was written by the product creator I was trying to promote.

That said, you don't need a full-grown ebook. Even a short, 3-4 page, report will do. Or a checklist, resource list, etc

As long as it's related, useful and easy to consume, it can work to draw leads. In fact, often shorter is better these days. I read where the average person can get over 100 emails per day. Add in the other things clamoring for attention, and your full-length ebook ends up on the hard drive unread, and your emails go unopened.

Something as simple as "Use this 5 point checklist before buying a [whatever]" can work better than a long ebook that seems like work. Of course, the [whatever] that you want to promote passes all five points...

Thanks so much for your input. I think I might just do that. Biz ops is my go to for CPA offers.

Aweber or Getresponse or Sendlane for biz ops / affiliate marketing.

There are many other autoresponders out there but might not be friendly for affiliate marketers.

One idea for the lead magnet - as mentioned, grab a PLR product... But make a powerpoint presentation and add your own twist, and do a video presentation if writing a report is not a good idea.

This way, you will be able to show your face to your subscribers and this helps in relationship building. Hope this helps

For me Aweber has everything i need to run a campaign, including followups and other forms of email marketing. I don't think having a simple "landing page" to capture emails is enough, these days. I prefer the approach of having a whole web experience with a gated content section that asks for emails in return for access. It also makes it easier to have products to sell because your customers are more engaged with your site/community rather than just signign up for a quick pdf ebook then unsubscribing from your email.
