Landing pages stopped appearing on Google for certain queries

Hi all,

One of my landing pages stopped appearing for certain queries last month. I have been consistently ranking on the first page of Google for this query for almost a year, so I don't really understand what happened. The page is still ranking for other more specific queries with only a small decline in ranking, so I don't really understand what is going on.

This has also happened to another of my landing pages, which after six months of consistently ranking on the first page for some queries, dropped dramatically and then stopped ranking at the same time the other page did. In contrast to that, most of my site has been unaffected. Unluckily for me, these two pages were the ones bringing me more visitors, so now I have seen a massive drop in daily visits from Google.

I thought that the drop might be due to the change in hosting, as the drop happened after a few days of the change, but I changed back to my previous one a few weeks ago and the problem is persisting. I also thought it could be due to slow page loads, but I have also worked on that and it does not seem to be working. Therefore, if somebody has any suggestions on what the causes might be and how to solve it, I would be very grateful.

My site is https://www.architectgadgets.com
Landing pages affected are: https://www.architectgadgets.com/bes...or-architects/ & https://www.architectgadgets.com/bes...or-architects/

Currently, the pages do not look as they should because I removed buttons and fancy product descriptions in an attempt to make the pages faster.

I would really appreciate some help because I am totally at a loss of what happened and I am worried that I did something wrong which I am not managing to correct because I don't know what it is.

Thanks for your time and let me know if you need any further information to help with my query.

Kind Regards,

Miquel

Anybody can help? I have been told in a different forum that the cause might be that the affiliate links did not have a no-follow attribute, but that does not seem like a good explanation for such a big drop in only two of the pages.

I hope you didn't use any PBN's right?

Not at all. I want this to be a long-term endeavour without having to worry all the time about being caught. For link building, I have done some blog comments, guest posts, round interviews and surveys.

You can try Google Search Console and try to fetch URLs from scratch. And check for few weeks if there's any improvement in the SERP.

If not, then try to generate more Web 2.0 tier 1 links back to those particular pages.

        Hope this helps

          Hi Arijit Dutta,

Thank you very much for your advice. I will do as you say and see if it helps.

I have never heard about web 2.0 tier links. I will research it a bit.

If somebody else has any ideas on what might have caused the drop and sudden disappearance, I would really appreciate your feedback.

          Kind Regards,

          Miquel

Tier 1 Backlinks are those links you use to give a little bit of boost to your web pages.

In simple words, they are micro-blogs created to give social signals to your main money-making website

Your Main Article -----> Web 2.0's

This tells Google that your website is getting recognized in the industry, as a result of which they try to improve your search ranking for those particular keywords.

But do keep in mind, when you are creating web 2.0's (wordpress.org sites, blogger sites, Weebly sites) don't use the exact same keyword and hyperlink your money site.

Use LSI keywords (similar meaning words for your main keyword) and anchor link your money website.

Thanks for your answer Arijit. I appreciate the suggestions but this tactic looks a bit too grey hat for me.

In any case, I would appreciate if somebody could provide any insight as to why this sudden drop happened.

              Thanks,

              Miquel
