Affiliate Marketing Mentor

I'm sure this happens a lot in here but I am not looking for a hand out or an easy way out. I am genuinely looking for a successful teacher or mentor who is willing to share knowledge with me. I have been at this for about a year now and have had little success but I will not quit until I make it. Like I said I know this sounds crazy because I bring little value but it is worth a shot and hopefully the right person stumbles upon this.

  • It cant be a little hard helping someone in affiliate marketing based on the fact that people are on many platforms.

So I will try and keep it simple.

How are you trying to promote affiliate offers?

You want to focus on one thing and get good at that.

Well I have been running most offers through Advertorials but I know it's something i'm doing wrong because I've seen them work for others. I guess depending on the specific niche you would run different squeeze pages? What have you seen most success in?

I appreciate you replying to my post btw!

There are many threads about affiliate marketing on this forum - many blogs dedicated to affiliate marketing online - utilize them and learn as you go.

If you are doing the wrong things - 'not quitting' is not a positive trait. The problem with finding 'a mentor' is this: You are asking someone to take time from his business to teach you..for free?

It doesn't sound 'crazy' but isn't realistic. My suggestion is to take the next 2-3 weeks (more if you only put in a few hours a week online) to learn about affiliate marketing - what to sell - where to sell - how to configure your site and links - marketing with lists - launch marketing, etc. Read everything you can find - don't buy any schemes or plans or systems - your goal should be understanding WHY what you have been doing isn't working.

Ask specific questions here - about your ads or your approach - about what products to promote or how to choose niches to sell in.

I really appreciate you replying and that's some great advice.. I guess I should have clarified that I didn't expect free training but would be willing to do work out whatever deal for 1 on 1 training. Anyways, I've been doing research and it's almost information overload, do you have any specific videos or blogs that would be the most beneficial starting point.. I have had some success with ecom so I know how to run ads fairly well. It's really just my landing pages I need help with, any specific content particularly geared towards copy writing etc.

      Thanks again

      pounder95,

No disrespected intended, but the very first thing a teacher will say to you is usually the most important thing you need to learn. Do your research for the answers to your questions and then come back to this thread (or start a new one) and ask if the answers are right or wrong for your business.

Do you even have a business or do you just have ideas for a business? A mentor would ask you that question. Where a business exists it may only need tweaking. Where you have just an idea for a business a mentor will ask you what is your education, what are your experiences, what are your skills. Once a mentor has that information the mentor will decide if you can be mentored or not and in that case may point you to a resource(s) in your best interest.

Because you missed the very first thing Kay explained to you and you followed up with a "hold my hand" response I can can only determine that you want somebody to teach you and you may not be teachable.

      Help us help you.

        • That's the only thing that works well when it comes to building a plan for your affiliate marketing venture ...

There's no such thing as an end-all-be-all strategy, technique, tactic, product or step-by-step blueprint.
        • Remember, we're talking about hundreds of industries, thousands of niche markets and millions of target audiences -- All around the world ...

So what are those business marketing fundamentals?
        • Knowing what, when, where, why and how to pitch the right affiliate offers to which target audiences in certain ideal niche markets under particular industries of specific areas or countries and regions should be your primary objective at this point ...

But how can you do any of those things?
        • Good old niche market research. Good old ideal audience profile development. Good old promotional campaign alignment.
        • And constant monitoring. And constant tweaking. And constant improvement ...

Just like any business venture -- Everything's a creative, iterative process for developing chains of strategies, techniques and tactics through the right people, processes and technologies ...

Native ads require a different approach than other ad formats. You need to have a landing page that engages people instantly. This is surfer traffic and the best way to monetize is with ad arbitrage.

If you are trying to build a list or make sales you should try other forms of advertising.

Have you thought about Instead of a mentor may be reaching out to someone someone in the same position and teaming up, being accountable to each other, helping each other with advice, discussing what went well, what did not, learning from each others experiences, I am sure you can find lots of people on here for that and it's a great stepping stone before being mentored.

Sometimes we just need a connection or a community just like this forum.
