3: Collecting leads gets easier.

4: You will align with people who click ads.

All your fears, buddy. Face 'em. Feel. Clear. Proceed with what feels good to you.

Just remember; all the money flows through your free content and blogging buddy network. Income streams are simple receiving channels.

One of the fastest and easiest ways to monetize is by building a list and selling affiliate products to that list. The money you can make from your list will far outweigh anything you get for running adsense on your blog.

I do know people who run ads on their blogs but, for my blogs, it's just not worth the trade-off in user experience.

However, you can make very good money selling affiliate products to your list. And, once you have enough traffic to your blog and a big enough list, you can also earn big money by writing promotional articles (advertorials) on your blog.

Those are 2 big ways to make money with your blog without cluttering it up with tons of ads that will pay you a couple hundred per month. I personally believe, if you make a QUALITY blog with GREAT info and without all the ad clutter, you will attract a much better quality of readership and make more money in the long run.

At least, that's how I'm doing my blogs.

Here's my advice: It appears that you are trying to put the cart before the horse..
A content rich blog will eventually monetise itself if certain steps are put in place. Yes, there are add-ons that one can insert on the blog page but in the first instance what attracts people (traffic) is the content.

Blogs garner their success by having naturally occurring content that is posted on a regular basis, as in a schedule. Search engines recognise the regularity and/or popularity of the content which is indicated by the number of followers and/or subscribers. Now, there are many possibilities as to why the blog is getting the attention and again its likely that its due to the rich content. So what is 'rich content'? Well.. as pointed out already it must be naturally occurring & posted on a regular basis, and this can include articles or parts of articles that you copy & paste to make up content or videos that you added to the page... all are considered content if and when they are newly posted to the blog.

But I do emphasise the importance of recognising that in the first instance, the content must be rich. If you take a look at other successful blogs and look for the common traits of success you'll find that the author is usually passionate about the subject. So much so, that they are excited about posting it and often running out of space to write. That passion transfers to the content and the reader feels that emotional attachment to want to know more. What you should have already prepared is an affiliate link from Clickbank or other affiliate network either posted on the side of your content or hyper-linked into your 'keywords' in the content to capture those emotionally excited readers. Lets face it, most internet users are searching for a solution to a problem that they or someone they know, has.. And even those who are reading blogs are in the same boat as all others. If you are smart, you'll match a product from an affiliate network that resonates on a broader level to those excited readers and integrate it by placing an ad or hyperlinking keywords.

One more thing to add is that you ought to be using one of the most popular blog sites like 'blogger.com' or the like.. Its simply a case of minimising the risk and maximising the gain. These sites have historical relationships with all the major search engines and can offer a much wider audience for you.

Apply these principles to your blog and you'll have more success. However, this is only the setting up of your blog. What brings in the money is 'Traffic'! Thats the next subject you must learn after refining your blog.

Monetizing a blog actually requires a combination of different efforts. If you wish to monetize a blog without destroying user experience, then first of all start learning the following:

1. SEO ( Without this, you have no idea what people are searching, how to get organic traffic, keywords and ranking)

2. Blogging: Anyone can write, but writing effective that is search engine and user friendly both requires a good knowledge. You must know how to write engaging content, moreover you should first try your luck with sites like wikihow to know what it takes to approve your content.

3. Gather knowledge about Affiliates: I am not saying, affiliate marketing is a good method to monetize your blog, but you should have knowledge to add this segment as well.

4. Work on your site, improve DA, PA: Although, its a part of SEO, but mentioning it separately as it helps a lot. Future lies with guest posting.

5. Start working on Social Media from day one.

First make your blog huge, generate content of quality, be active on forums, social media, let people come and ask for favor. By this way, you will be able to monetize your blog.

There are many ways to make money on your blog.. the easy and hard!
First if you don't like the Pop ads you have many ad networks such as Admaven that offer other ad models to use on your website with specific items on your clicks (I'm for using Push notification for example). if you don't like the ad inside the page at all.. you can use Native banners on your content .. the users are not seeing this model and not recognize it. it can be a high conversion for CPC ad models..

I dont think the Email marketing is good at all .. this operation more profitable to club members or any special offers, good luck

Blogs do not through a natural progresion monetize themselves - that's crazy. SEO does not monetize your site.

I get what you are saying about banner blindness.. but not as true as you might be led to believe. You CAN run effective banners on a site. The overall issue with banners is they scroll away.

Try looking at www.incomebully.com and pick an article and scroll down and pay attention to what happens along the right column. Pretty sure that is effective ad advertising. Also read some of his articles and see how he implements ads within the text of his posts, and how they are within CONTEXT of the topic.

So what value are you providing your blog readers by doing this? Who will read this blog, and what are they interested in buying?

Can add that blogs need focus. You need to have a specific industry, niche or topic that you write about repeatedly. Try not to go all over the map. You'll find that veering off on tangents will make you lose your core audience. People want to visit a blog - and keep revisiting it - because it fills a need or a void. That happens by staying focused and on-topic.

If ads worry you about your users' experience then you can try selling affiliate products. If you are blogging in boat niche, then find an affiliate that sells boat related products. After all, their interests in your content surely brought them to your site, so they'll be interested in products too.

I have come to really hate and avoid blogs because there is so much advertising that it's become so difficult to read anything.

There are so my pop-ups and slide outs and banners between every paragraph, etc, etc, etc... That I just end up leaving.

Can you share the niche of your blog?

The best thing would be if you can find a product (or products) which are beneficial to your visitors. If you can do this then you can normally slip in non-evasive ads without people having a negative experience

Yes, banner ads are great for monetizing any blog easily. It is very easy and good for beginners,

However, there are also many ways to monetize blogs. Like

1. Affiliate marketing
2. Sponsored post & reviews
3. Selling digital products like eBook etc
4. Selling WordPress themes and plugins

These are also good ways to make money from blogs.
