Regarding facebook group marketing and list biilding

hi everyone,

i think i corrected my mindset after reading through the forums and realizing im giving up too quickly, and not having enough patience

so one of my questions is this, how can i ethically get email addresses after delivering value in facebook groups?

Following russell brunsons teaching of "Bait", my bait for my service is just giving it away, my service is content creation for business owners, logos, graphics, blog posts..

What i do now to attract leads is to give away these things for free in different facebook groups. I make a post saying something to the effect of "free logo, graphic, or blog post, comment below", people DM me and i give it to them, but out of 10 people who i give things away to, maybe 1 will actually become a paying customer, the rest just disapear.

How can i get the emails of people who disapear in a cool? way, without using a funnel or another website?

I made $25 bucks so far since i started doing this in September, not alot, but i didnt do the work this time, i just outsourced the creation of the graphics to someone, so i really made like $15 bucks lol

I have one email address collected from this, my goal is to get to 10+ by December/January

it's going to be a long grind i know, but i still have my day jobs and im school for IT at the moment so im not like too desperate lol

so yeah, im just learning, open to thoughts

    You need to create a funnel. So you place a post about your free service, that says comment below... In DM's you need to direct them to a page that asks for their e-mail a place to send the finished work. A bing you now have an e-mail right?

    So part of the deal in all of this is that you should ask for a review of the work in exchange for the free work. This is what is called a "testimonial".

    All of this is assuming you have a webpage... if you dont have one, you need one.

    From this point, you can display the free piece along with the testimonial from the client. So now you have a testimonials, AND you have a growing portfolio.

    Once you have a website... if you dont already, you should have an Instagram account and sharing your work there. NOT just your professional work, but any personal work you might be producing.

    I would recommend collecting their email info before performing any design work. That way, you can follow up, share some results and success stories, build credibility, and follow up to generate more sales.

    Keep connecting and commenting and aslo slide up in their in box and send friend request after adding value with a comment .

    Check out the rules of the group and see if they allow blog post links and if they do send the traffic to a capture page on your blog .

    It would be a smart idea to start a facebook fan page

    and a facebook group.

    If you are asking about a way through which you can get their email addresses without using a funnel or website.

    Then your best alternative is to start using the Facebook group lead Generation process.

    You will have to open a Facebook group... Set everything up and get them to join your group.

    But make sure you link the freebie in the first post which you will pin in the group.

    So, you will set the group to private and request them to input their correct email address in the questions before they can be approved.

    This way, you can get their email address and they will have access to the group to download your freebie.

    All on Facebook without funnel or website.

    I would say it's normal if you're getting one sale out of every 10 leads. However, if you're interested in getting emails of more potential customers for free, the best place to be is LinkedIn. Using the LinkedIn Email Finder will help you get hundreds of customers' emails, and you will be able to make more sales over time.

    Why are you giving away what you sell?

    If you want to sell logos, give away a white paper about the amazing results the right logo can have, with a questionnaire to help them score their current logo/ logo idea and a link to a page on your site where they can see logos you've created.

    Free needs to be sold, and it requires about the same effort to sell as paid stuff.

    If I am looking for a logo and you give me a free one, why would I, then, hire you to give me another one. I only need one logo.

    Beware, also, of not pigeon-holing yourself as only a logo-maker to the person you gave a free logo.

      Well i really don't know what to give away to be honest, i've given away my work in the past and it's worked really well, the whitepaper is a great idea though,

      Free does need to be sold.

      I suppose i could get some people on fiverr to create the whitepaper for me.

      also, if i rebranded myself as a business marketing strategist and gave away free logos, it then kind of makes sense, kinda?

        It makes sense. And if you can strategize well, it really makes sense.


        Still... How many business owners want strategy only? Can you connect them with suppliers of whatever you suggests they do?

    1 out of 10 is pretty decent..If you are making money i suggest you just focus on what you are doing and build the list. Then after you get to say 1000 people you can attach more bells and wistles

    If you are willing to target business owners, you need to change your methodology and adapt to their mentality.

    Business owners will not be attracted by a freebie, like free logo or graphics, etc.

    Instead, tweak the process, and instead of making it like a complete freebie, change it to trial or sample.

    This will make the change, because business owners are natural buyers, and they trust paid services more than free ones.

    After all, you don't want to bring in many freebie seekers.

    That means they can ask for the design, and you will provide it to them upfront. However, they will not be able to use for commercial purposes. It can be used for personal or as a sample.

    If they like it, and want to use it for their business, then they can pay you + you will get their email address.

    Plus, even if you give them the design for free, you can simply ask them to provide the email so that you can send your design to them.

    Don't send your free work via Facebook messenger/direct message.

    Always, once you finish the design, ask them to provide the email address so that you can send the work.
