Bit.ly in SEO

BEGINNERS AREA

Hello - I have been reading about how using bit.ly impacts search results and it seems to not have much of an impact vs. simply using your websites url. However, when I use ahrefs to see links rank high among competitors it show bit.ly among the top five. I use it as well, but it doesn't show up as a backlink at all. Am I missing something?

It's all about trial and error my friend. Make sure your keywords you want optimize are in your url. I also use bitly urls with keywords in them and I'm able to rank in first position on the 1st page of search engine results all the time.

They are shown on top because they have the highest DR.

bit.ly and google redirects are used to manipulate those third party metrics but do absolutely nothing to improve your rankings.
