Hi. I am starting to run a explainer video agency. I set up everything on my website but I got stuck on how to find clients. I heard that tech industry is potential and I sent emails to decision maker. I just received the reply to opt out which is really sad. I also tried linkedin outreach for insurance niche. I got connections but when I start to send offers. No one replied. Some people say try other industries because tech compay decision makers receives so many offers from explainer video agencies. Also I read from this forum that contact marketing companies to be their partner is also good ideas. But I dont know how. I am so confused and disappointed.

So I need help on getting clients for my agency. Thank you

How many people out there do you think are actively looking for explainer videos?

You either find them and put your offer in front of them or you go after a broader audience and teach them about how explainer videos will help them make more money.

I get now and again people who I do not know sending me offers on linkedin or facebook or some other platform.

    I ignore them.

You need to target the right people with the right offer.

Explainer videos is not what most business owners/ managers think about all day long.

So, your message to them has to get their attention (in a good way) and get them to see how explainer videos fit into their business as an investment not an expense.

Have you ever read Dan Kennedy's The Ultimate Marketing Plan and his Ultimate Sales Letter? If not, you'd benefit from reading them and applying the info in them.

Look into positioning yourself. Look into building trust.

By the way, are you on platforms for freelancers?

PS One person unsubscribe is not sad. Your expectations are off.

I see a lot of explainer video makers on Fiverr for example, I do a lot of voice overs for them. Its a perfect place to reach your audience.

However at the beginning it might be a bit harder to get attention and your first positive reviews.

Would recommend to try that if you haven't yet.

Yes, I have a tip for that.

When I first offered my own service there, I differentiated myself from my competition by offering much more work for less money. In other words, my offer was so good and so cheap that it would have been pretty stupid from the consumer's point of view not to order from me.

And that's how you set yourself apart from the successful ones initially because your offer is much cheaper and much better.

You can do that until you have collected a certain number of positive five star reviews and then you increase your prices bit by bit until you eventually get to the price structure of the established or pull the same.

This process took some time in my case but it is something you should consider as a long term business and not something that makes you a star overnight.

If you forget this claim and instead are willing to have long term success instead of short term then you can achieve a lot on these platforms.

Apart from that there are also certain groups e.g. on Facebook where people support each other and for example give each other positive reviews as a newbie.

But to be honest I have no experience with this. Also, it could be that if the freelancer platforms would discover you with this tactic that they ban you. In the end, you have to know yourself what you are doing.

I am not so sure I would over think this and niche down... YOU can.. but I would start a bit more towards evergreen to start with.

Ask yourself a pretty basic question... WHY do people order Explainer Videos?

THAT is the answer you want to get to - and THEN make an explainer video - explaining just that. And then share THAT on TikTok and facebook, and anywhere and every else you can think of.

Create a series of videos up in the evergreen area... What is an explainer video? Why would you use an explainer video?

I would ( TO START ) worry less about specifically reaching who orders them, because like you said they are saturated... so get their attention outside of the aspect that they are inundated with offers.

I might even take this a step further, and start creating Explainer Videos of "How To" do just simple stuff... Open a can, Open a door, Turn on a computer, How to access the camera on an iPhone and I would put these all on TiKTok, and YouTube shorts

Get the ATTENTION. not by trying to sell... but being creative within the use of...and that will draw those that actually use them / order them.

and be sure to BRAND the videos at the end - IE your website address

    Hope that helps!

As the demand of explainer video increased so did the supply. So many people doing explainer and due to development of easy to use software its more convenient. I know people who once need explainer video but then they came across doodly etc and just paid for a month to get the job done. Now you have stepped into it then paid advertising would be a better option where you target local areas.
