traffic questions on a one-year old site

Hi! I have started a new (ish) website now that I have been working on for almost a year pretty diligently on [link removed by moderator] The site is in the personal finance and entrepreneurship category which i know is competitive. That said, I am writing well-written SEO optimized articles on keywords I have researched that are lower competition, and use internal links and visuals. The site was professionally made and optimized. I have about 100 backlinks, some from high quality sites like Flippa and Bigger Pockets - my DA is 8. I also am on all socials, though I only am just posting the new articles I wrote. my question is, why is my traffic STILL so low? I have about 50 keyword-driven articles and am only getting about 250 users per month. It feels like way too long to be in the "sandbox" - what are your thoughts?

You are not in the sandbox; there is no such thing.

100 backlinks from high quality sites ain't much if they come from pages with no power.

If you can create a link to your site, it does little for you.

Look up backlinko's skyscraper technique and Bruce Clay's silos for SEO.

Contact website owners whose clients would benefit from your contact and ask for a link.
