Running my own PPC campaign instead of going through a 3rd party

I'm an in-house SEO specialist for an e-commerce business and I want to run my own PPC campaign without messing with the copy on my products too much since I spent a lot of time on them. I was wondering if there are any ways to run a successful PPC campaign on my own, or any tools you would recommend to get me started. Not looking to purchase anything, but want to get our traction up on Google. Our competitors are able to spend into the 1000's on PPC and i'm just looking for us to be in the top 5 ranking. My targeted keywords, SEO title's, and backlinks are all working effectively. Now, I just need us to rank higher than we have been on products that we want to move.

For context, other competitors are able to sell them exact same products but must adhere to MAP pricing policy.
