Impact of December Google Update on New Websites?

Hi everyone,

With the recent Google update this December, I'm worried about how it might affect my new website. Could someone explain the main changes and what a beginner like me should do to adapt? Any advice on SEO strategies post-update would be very helpful!
I'm a concreter serving virgina USA

Thanks!

  • Remember whatever Updates have been made by Google, One thing is clear in every update that to improve your site ranking apply your SEO knowledge in an honest way. Write the content that quenches the users thirst for their query not for the Search Engine. Do not do any Spam like inserting Keywords or Link Forcefully without any need of it in the content.
Whenever any updates occurred it might slightly affect your site and you might also get to see the Stat change but nothing to worry. If you always work on improvements for your site honestly it definitely will get better in future may be in the next update or may be before than that.

It affected almost every website in different niche. Many keywords ranking went down and major effect on AI content. So focus on user intent human written content and acquire some quality backlinks. Do not make major changes untill you see recovery in your GSC

As for the december update - there were 2 of them this month
First generally focused on E-E-A-T or Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. This update completed on December 18th.
Second is Spam update that target sites that don't follow the webmaster guidelines. This update completed on December 26th.

      Here's how I view Google's E-E-A-T policies today:

      • Experience = Number of angles and perspectives touched to cover immediate and broader scope of user intent.
      • Expertise = Depth of angles explored to satisfy user intent, from immediate query to correlated queries.
      • Authority = Opinionated, thoughtful critique on up-to-date research data and fresh commentaries by credible publishers and reputable experts.
      • Trustworthiness = Citations, quotes and external links to 'em publishers (also for UX optimization).

For me, the actionable step that shakes out from this is to build content that has these components in place.

For me, this shakes out as spammy, thin content.
      ** Doesn't matter if it's programmatically developed.
      ** Doesn't matter if it's human-written.
      ** Doesn't matter if it's AI-generated.
      ** Doesn't matter if it's human expert-verified.
** Doesn't matter if it's a combination of a hybrid approach that uses programmatic data harvesting with human or AI analytics, human writing with or without AI aid, and human expert verification with or without AI aid.

      Best of luck!

Google's December update likely focuses on content quality and spam reduction. For your new site, prioritize high-quality, locally relevant content, optimize for mobile, and build reputable backlinks. Use Google Search Console to track performance and fix issues. Local SEO is key--claim your Google Business Profile and gather reviews. Need help optimizing? Let's discuss strategies! I needed help with my thesis and wasn't sure where to turn. Then I found CanadianWritings here https://canadianwritings.com/ and Their essay writing service provided me with a detailed and well-referenced paper. The writer communicated with me throughout the process. If you need expert writing help, I highly recommend this service!
