The Basics of Online Business Success
Everybody has their own ideas about what the basics of online business success are, exactly, and the fact is success and how you achieve it means different things to different people.
Well, I’m a different people, so here are a few items that I think belong on a list of Internet Marketing basics. Oh, and by the way, I am biased because these basics are based on the Internet income marketing plan that I promote. But don’t let that stop you from reading! You can still use these basics to compare other opportunities you are considering, even if you don’t take a look at mine. (But you are welcome to do so, of course.)
Here’s the first basic: Free to join and never required to purchase anything.
I know the debate about this: if everybody joins free, how do you make money? My opinion is that purchases should be optional, not required. A good marketing plan will provide the means to earn income without a personal purchase requirement.
Second: Complete training, marketing resources and accessible support should be available to every marketer, not just the high achievers.
Taking it a step further, some kind of incentive program should be included to motivate the affiliates to WANT to go through the training and to be diligent in reviewing it regularly.
Third: Remember what I said earlier about providing a way for affiliates to earn income without making personal purchases? In my opinion, a good marketing plan that is designed for online business success should be built around products that have appeal to the general consumer, not just to the marketing affiliates.
The Internet makes it simple to set up a suitable e-commerce shopping site loaded with a wide variety of products. There should be something for everybody so the affiliate has no reservations about referring pretty much anybody to the site. The affiliate can then earn direct sales commissions whether or not he or she sponsors new affiliates into the marketing part of the program.
Doesn’t that make sense? Give the newbies a chance to earn some real Internet income even while they’re learning the business? Makes sense to me.
Fourth: Several options for residual income should be built into the plan. Direct commissions are great for the short term to reward the affiliate and keep him or her interested and motivated, but the big idea behind Internet Marketing is to build a foundation for ongoing income so the marketer can eventually take it easy and actually enjoy life and the fruit of his or her efforts.
Different people may have different criteria for determining the basics of online business success. The basics explained here are from my own perspective based on experience.
