Facebook Ads not Converting
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hey Warriors

I have got a Facebook page and having a campaign with a freebie
The freebie is an eBook "Boost Self-Esteem and Become Confident" for people with Social Anxiety.

I was running 4 ads with 4 different pics (same copy)

Here are the ads:

Here are the results:

FYI: 24 kr is 1$

I got only 2 registrations, any idea why?

Here is my bait:

you have 23 clicks.. there is simply not enough data to say anything at this point. you are operating at about 10% conversion rate and the issue is?

Which image has gotten more clicks? which images did the 2 conversions stem from? that's what I would be looking at. but again, there simply is not enough data to make any decisions.

Need to pull "Self Reliant" out of your landing page text.. doesn't fit

I am just new to ads, so I suppose 10% is a good number?

The one with a boy and a girl on sand for 3.37% CTR, the ones with a male and 2 female on yellow background got 1 registrations each

Also, do you think I need to rather go for click-per-impressions than CPC to first collect data?

I am also changing the squeeze page right now, will be much better in no time

10% is a good number.. just not a great number. I preach this a bit, and you really need to look at this one step at a time. The first step you need to work on is getting the traffic. it is OK not to convert in the beginning, as long as you are getting traffic.

As you stated the beach image is pulling in the most traffic, but it is not converting. Maybe setting up a separate squeeze for this campaign, and incorporating a beach background may increase its effect.

Basically you need to look at what each of these are doing.. and start tweeking what they are not doing. getting traffic and not converting... that is going to be the landing page. getting a bit of traffic, but getting some conversions... I would start with the initial click and change it up a bit... the image and message are working, but not well enough.

basically you have to test through the process, and end up with a process that is working at all levels. ( aka hitting on all cylinders ). By separating each of your 4 images to their own landing page is going to give you far more control. and through a process of illumination you can pull the bad ones out, and either focus on less, or introduce a new one.

Hope that Helps!

A conversion rate of 10% is pretty good, for most of us. If I got a 5% conversion rate, I'd jump for joy. :-)

Read this http://youthebestguru.com/wp-content...that-sells.pdf

It will show you how to properly target, create smart
campaigns, how to use the FB pixel, the bidding, split
testing, etc.

Now... regarding your ads, it could be your targeting
is not that targeted, your copy is not hot enough
or your landing page is not congruent enough.

Since I can only see your copy, I'll need to say
you need to change it.

Your image attracts them to read your copy,
so ask questions that create controversy, or makes
them connect with it.

One question should be to help them see the problem
and the other one to discover the solution. I.E.
Do you suffer XYZ and XYZ? Would you like to know
how to YAY without BOO? Then read our report to
learn how to...

Also, the ad headline is not hot enough, try
asking another question like ''Do you know
the 4 pillars to XYZ? or just ''The 4 pillars of
XYZ?

The copy below the headline should be short
and sweet. ''This free report will show you
how to YAY without BOO. Learn more now''

Make the image more natural, more native,
split test removing all the text so it looks like
a native ad.

And again, read this http://youthebestguru.com/wp-content...that-sells.pdf
it is 24 pages long, so it is fast to read
and you can implement it ASAP.

How's your targeting, that's the real key here. Your CTR is super low. Should be 6-7% minimum if you are running Desktop + Mobile newsfeed ads.

Where does the "learn more" button lead to? an FB Fan page? not directly to a landing page right? as it is impossible to lead to an external website if your'e advertising in the news feed itself...
