Hi there!

I'm not sure what a normal conversion rate is, but i've got my site up and running with ads on facebook and googleadwords. I'm getting the most traffic with google and so far i've gone from 0 page views to 20 in 2 days. I know this isn't a lot, but i'm so excited!

The main problem is, these sessions are about 6 seconds long and no conversion.

I'm not sure if this is normal, OR an issue with my site not grabbing attention and people just leaving.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to get more conversions? Or soothe my worries a little bit since i'm just starting to drive traffic to my site?


edit: P.S. I've got two products i'm selling. Online training and an ebook series. Both pages have a modal which offers a free PDF e-book on meal planning and captures emails for my mailchimp account. I DO NOT have this modal enabled on my main page, should i do that?

Hi,

Just had a brief look at your website. You want critiques so here it goes:
1. Your main page headline is not specific. You are asking your customers a question that is vague and quite confusing to answer. Of course people want to change their life styles, but I am in dead hurry and your headline must tell me what you do, how you do? It should break a news or tell a benefit or both. Asking such a generalized question will only result in people not staying more than 6 seconds.

2. Where is the information about you? I couldn't find it on the main page. What's your story ? Why are you doing what you are doing? This should be on the second section of your main page (with your head shot). You need to develop trust with your prospect immediately. People should know you are just like them. I won't give you a dollar unless I KNOW your story or your struggle.

3. If you have a free ebook, you must drive your traffic directly to the opt-in page. Build your email list first. Then pitch them with your $200 product. You are only offering your ebook in a pop up. Please create a separate page for that and hit your prospect pain right in the middle and then offer a messiah in the form of your ebook.

You seriously need to upgrade your web copy.

I will update my main page header and make sure the slider is working and everything. I do have an about me page, i actually have 2 of them. On my site if you click on my face-profile on the menu there is an about me page. I also have an about me page as my first blog post on my blog.

Do you think i need to have this information on my MAIN page

And yes, for my ad campaigns it is taking people straight to my ebook page (where the free ebook modal pops up) and also straight to the online training page.

And define update my web copy. I dont understand what youre trying to say, ive designed my site in a minimalistic and clean layout.

Hi, if you are landing traffic on your main page, you have to prove that you are an authority. Unless you don't prove yourself trustworthy, people will not rain you with their money. Telling your story, qualification, achievement (relevant) is the best way to gain trust.

P.S I didn't find any images in your pop-up? Please show your Ebook and improve your pop up headline. Also, reduce the number of fields to two only; name and email address.

No really. But your expectations may not be reasonable. With PPC ads, you may be looking for one sale in 500 clicks before optimizing.

So 20 a day is fine, but you just Can't expect 100 random traffic hits to churn out $199 subscriptions.

What is the primary goal here? Make sales or get optins? Then make it very clear to these visitors on what they are supposed to do.

With free traffic, you maybe looking for 1 sale in 5000 hits. Depending on where they are coming from (context more than actual source)

Iron out some of the details first and make sure that the primary action you want to clear. Right now, I don't believe you have a conversion problem more than you have an execution problem

Yes .. This much traffic is not enough for any conclusion. You need more traffic.

For advance prep... you can check your landing pages, their design, user friendliness, content... And yes .. any offer or your best quality mentioned.

Thanks everyone! I am making some of these changes today! I will work on my web copy, go in an make some changes so that things are as clear and precise as possible.

And thanks for letting me know i'm not getting enough traffic. Not sure what i can really do for that, maybe some directed ads through instagram with a fitness page or something.

To the person who asked, my main goal is to sell the heck out of my ebook series with the online training being an exclusive and premium offer. I'm offering a free e-book for meal planning which can really apply to either path i'm offering. I'll make sure there's images of this on my pop-up, so thanks for that as well!
