Difference between copywriting and content writing.

I love this illustration from Copyhackers.com.

There's a direct line between copy and conversions. There is a dotted line between content and conversions. That's totally okay - not everything needs to lead to a sale! Content creators are critical to content marketing; copywriters are critical to conversion rate optimization.

      The best way I could describe it is that the copywriter goes for the jugular,
      he goes for the kill. There is no time to "fool around", no time for romance,
      are you in or out? Are you buying or not?

      The content writer has time on his side so he can court and flirt but for the
      copywriter, this is an emergency and there is no tomorrow.
