Modelling Best Sellers for Success In The Marketplace
The same concept can be used with best selling song titles, album titles and book titles with brainstorming software.
For example you could type in:
Rich Dad Poor Dad (That was a best seller that was catchy)
Among the words produced for 'Dad' you see the word 'Author'
Hmmm. This gives some interesting ideas.
How about modelling the concept for rich author, poor author?...Or rather 'Rich Self Publisher, Poor Self Publisher:
What words can we substitute for rich and poor?
Rich: atypical, funny, wealthy, prosperous, smart, expensive, flourishing, valuable, productive, prolific, industrious, fruitful,
Poor: unsuccessful, loser, broke, impoverished, hard up, short of money, strapped, mediocre, middling, average, ordinary, unexceptional, commonplace,
What does this give us for a title for a writing piece on the topic?
Maybe: "Prolific author, broke author."
Then to modify it more so it is unrecognizable from the original inspiration you could make something like:
"Prolific Authors vs. Broke Hacks"
Then for the general idea something like:
Interviews with 50 writers on what it takes to make it in the literary world.
Sample brief: From the trenches of the literary world, 1 interviewer goes undercover to learn the secrets and habits of successful writers and the mistakes of those who aren't making it.
etc....
Copywriting also largely applies to the general literary markets of songwriting and selling books in stores.
I think it would make for a good read anyways
