Done-for-you email templates?

Hi guys, are there pre-made, proven-to-convert email templates for affiliate marketing?

I would like to promote Clickbank products via email marketing but I'm not very good at copywriting.

I've read a couple of books on copywriting but none of them touch on writing profitable emails.

Thanks

Not really because you have to learn your list. People do sell such stuff. But no top affiliate uses it. Which should tell you something.

    Model success.

You don't have to be good at copywriting. You have to be good at understanding your list and what they respond to.

    Does that make sense?

P.S. But this does work for lots of markets -- Find 15-20 burning questions. Write emails that poke the problem and answer it kinda superficially. But allude to the link having the better answer.

You gotta kinda figure how to do it so they still regard you as someone who knows some stuff and they trust you, but that the link is where the real expertise is.

There are other ways, but that works in lots of markets where the products are basically advice.

Or you can try storytelling. That whole soap opera shtick. Works too.

A couple of bits of advise I would give:

Get yourself into the lists of good marketers. See what they do, look at what they actually do rather than what they say they do.

If an IM product talks about using an upside down sales letter or inverted video but is actually marketing to you through other peoples lists pay attention to that. Note how the list owner introduces the new person.

Second little caveat most marketers split test so you may only see one side of an experiment.

You also want to get on the list of people who sell the product you are interested in.

There are websites you can look at for swipe files and these can be useful to study.

The hero's journey is a great way to combine these two elements. It puts you at the centre of the story but your success is based on the "stranger at the gate" who eventually trains and equips you for success.

      Quick edit

Some vendors do supply swipe files but they also supply them to everyone. Take a look but I wouldn't use them as lots of other people will be using them. It won't sound like you and people who are on multiple lists may lose trust in you if you send the same email and Bob up the road.

Hey, not wanting to sound like a talking bird but it's true, you don't have to be good at writing copy; you just need to know who you're speaking to. Do you already have a list? Are they responsive? If you don't already have one then get to it and start building. If you do then you must have some idea of who your audience is and why they gave you their name and email in the first place.

My advice would be to write your own emails for three reasons:
    1. You'll gain loads of experience in writing your own emails
    2. You'd no doubt have to edit lots of the wording in the pre-made emails anyway
    3. You could teach other marketers how to write their own as well

I hope this helps you out!

  • What you wanna avoid always is your reader suspectin' he or she is one of countless millions readin' your spiel an' askin' WTF?

Templates can make it easy to end up meanderin' down this track.

No doubt. It sounds less efficient than an automation strategy (which can work for some folks, depending on their business), but imo every hour spent cultivating and refining a distinct voice and sending emails that stand out will pay compounding dividends down the line...

Definately many pre-written and "proven copy formats out their but it is still important to re-write them in your own voice.
