Does Your Sales Letter Make Your Eyes Burn? OptimizePress Kills Me

Anyone else here at first turn to OptimizePress because it appeared to provide the perfect way to craft beautiful sales letters?

Yup, I did.

But has anyone else reassessed it in the light of readability?

Seriously.

I create a sales letter... then actually try to read it. I'm not sure if its the typeface, or font size, or whatever, but it really hurts my eyes.

So.

My question for folks here is:

Does anyone else have any tools, software or . . . god forbid an actual skilled human being . . . that can help create great sales letters?

And by "great", I don't mean - pump em full of flashy graphics, disjointed text sizes and fonts.

Nope. I mean something that actually makes the copy easy to read?

Any skilled Warriors out there who know how to put together a HTML page with some nice CSS?

Readability and conversion is all I care about!

Thanks

Doug

  • I build all my sites in HTML (and not WordPress) and I find 90 Second Website Builder and amazing application. (no, it's not an affiliate link)

Really powerful and with a host of features. Super cheap and easy to use.

    IMHO, better that Optimize Press.

  • OptimizePress is weird.

It does make making sales pages a LOT easier, but it seems to restrict you quite a bit in terms of style; for example, they only give you like 4 different fonts for headlines. If you know HTML and CSS you can override the OP default settings but once you go that level the software is no longer saving you time and money. I always found I ended up inserting images and stuff for my headlines because I didn't like the way headlines looked using the OptimizePress text.

  • one of the important thing in conversion is "the salles letter" it self, it doesn't take a genius or a high skill to create such the impressing sentences .. just research the webs and compare the highly charming sentences and the usual one .. you'll be accustomed soon. and about the design, never make glitter sentences.. it doesn't take highly impressive sentences .. just a simple one, but remember that the most important thing in the sales letter is in the "powerful sentences/sales letter" it self.
