Question for you seasoned (non-dropshipping) ecommerce pros- What are some of the pain points that I should expect to encounter as I start but even more importantly to me, as I scale?
Here's some of the things I feel I already have a good handle on-
- Which platform to use (yes there's a lot of debate out there but I have made up my mind, please don't confuse the issue here)
- What niche (yes, well researched)
- Vendors (have my suppliers lined out)
- Logistics (as far as warehousing and shipping carrier is concerned)
- Basic traffic generation strategies (at least where to start - PPC, SEO, Content, Social channels)
- Conversion improvement will be an ongoing process, I understand this. (planning on using split testing as my primary means of conversion increase)
So what things am I going to need to handle after the basics are in place (and hopefully working)? If you could put it in terms of revenue benchmarks that would help me wrap my brain around it. (Ie "Once you hit the $5,000 month level expect to encounter X")
I would also be curious as to what challenges you face today. I am thorough if you couldn't tell, and this will help me identify and prepare for some of the unforeseen roadblocks that cause stores to fail or plateau.
Thanks so much for your help and candidness.
