So I have had some success building shopify dropshipping stores. I was curious if any one has had success using your dropshipping suppliers and selling on amazon or ebay? Does it work as well? saturated? Im so new that i just dont know. Amazon seems like to be "THE PLATFORM" for ecommerce, so why do i need to create a shopify store to sell single products when I can sell on amazon?

Maybe its a thing already and I just dont know what strategy/ method is called

Because if you're doing really well in Amazon, it's likely they'll just create their own line and divert your traffic to their own business.

And if you want to market internationally, having your own site makes it easier for you to distribute to local sellers.

I have experience in FBA on Amazon but the downside of it is you don't get any email address and can't capture an audience. They own everything. When you have your own site for dropsshipping, you gather valuable data. I am thinking about leveraging integrations with ClickFunnels to make the sale their and fulfill by Amazon so I have a better list of buyers. My advice would be to keep learning marketing and talk to your niche and stay with your own site. The long term will probably be better.

I won't suggest it my friend cause you might just lose your account.

Since you are having success with Shopify, why not I will continue that way just be on the safe side.

You can grow your Shopify store by just using paid traffic.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Man, good point you have over here, and have seen this same comment made on youtube and other facebook groups.

The thing is that Shopify is a platform that lets you have a store which you own and manage, the customers that get inside your shopify store are yours and you have all the power there you sell whatever you want under your own brand. And have the contacts from the customers that either visited the store or bought something from you.
That will allow you to further sell a product , keep nurturing that customary base and make longterm relationships with the customer ,therefore that same customer can purchase so many times from you the products you have under your brand.

It's like having your own place inside the mall, you have a site where people who enter your store aren't subject to some guideline from the mall or obligation to buy things the way the mall wants instead they do it the way you want.

With Amazon is good to go if you are still are a small merchant and don't want to be incurring in costs of third party applications as payment processing gateways and other tools used to track audience etc. With Amazon you just simply put your product and they take care from the rest. It's like having your product on the supermarket, where sales made over there are subject to the supermarket rules no matter if it's your product.

The situation with Amazon is that the customer that buys your product is not your customer, but Amazon's customers and you have no control over it , that same person can buy from other merchants because you are a generic seller over there.

I would recommend that if you are still on the starting phase of selling your product and you need money , go ahead and sell your product on Amazon or Etsy , at the same time be making a strategy to make a Shopify store so you can start leveraging brand power and start making customer loyalty under your brand.

    Hope Ir helps~

Once your product begins to sell very well on Amazon, you will begin to go out of business. Amazon will go directly to the supplier and continue to sell the same product to their customers. Think twice.

HI, word of advice, you can sell your items in amazon, but amazon won't allow you to contact your customers directly. You can have some amount of sales via Amazon. However, if your item becomes a hot selling item, amazon will contact your supplier and start to give a competitive price for you. This won't happens overnight or within weeks, If you have fewer orders it is ok to start selling on amazon. If you are doing really well on Shopify I don't recommend adding your product amazon?

Amazon dropshipping is more for experienced dropshippers. They way more strict on rules than Ebay. You can get banned there easily. Stick with your shopify store.

It certainly depends. The market is, of course, quite saturated as the both are online marketplaces. However, in my opinion, if you've found your niche, your product offering is unique, and you're really working on your marketing, you're good to go and can, for sure, succeed when selling on Amazon or eBay.

There are several merchants who can do dropshipping on Amazon successfully, they are using Print on Demand company like Printful and Printify to fulfilled the dropship order. It can integrate with your Amazon account. Regarding the competition, yes it's quite tough you need to be consistent to upload more products with a specific design for Print on Demand. If you do AliExpress dropshipping on Amazon, it's quite challenging. Your account may get suspended someday.

Build a brand instead of just selling products on Amazon.

Steve, I'm having some trouble with this same thing. I use Printify and aside from taking a little while to ship out (as many do around this time of year), they have been great. However, I sell via my own website. I have Google and FB ads running and I'm having a hell of a time getting conversions.

Amazon has algorithms, so there are all kids of ways to manipulate that to make sure more people see your product. I'm actually questioning if I should switch from my own website to Amazon/Ebay/Etsy...but of course, that all results in lower profit.
