Text content on the stores front page

Most of the ecommerce platforms usally have a classic front page with menu, banner-module and a featured products-module.

My store has a lot of content (articles) on the category pages and good product descriptons on the product pages and they all rank well in google except for the front page. The front page doesn't have any text paragraphs at all I think that there is no room for it. The banner takes about 50% of the page and the menu and featured products-module the rest.
I could delete the banner, but i think it makes the store look more serious and is a great way to promote certain products. I don't know, maybe I could put an article below all the modules on the front page.

Do you have text content on the front page? Does anyone have any examples of e-stores with 300-500 words on the front page?

Thanks

Let's narrow down the goals that you're trying to achieve.

    1) What are you trying to rank for?
    2) Do you have a healthy brand presence?
    3) What does your backlink profile look like?

Don't expect your front page to rank for all terms you sell. In fact, don't expect it to rank at all for any of those terms. If your category and product pages rank, then you're already doing very good. Your front page should serve as the main source for incoming links do build your overall domain authority and brand authority.

I really think that you don't have a problem here at all. Continue your marketing efforts and get links to the main store. That's all. The goal is simple - now it's a matter of getting the brand name out there.
