Hi,

I'm looking for email sending software that works with Amazon SES that allows for tokens in the subject. Can you recommend anything?

Thanks,

    Hi Donald,

Have you checked out Zoho Mail? They offer SMTP Server Configuration which allows you to send email through Amazon SES

You could also use WP RapidMailer from Sean Donahoe:

    http://imscrapidmailer.com

If you just need a license for one site be sure to close the window after it loaded and then the exit popup will show you the discount for a single-site for $27.

      Hi Donald,

If you don't mind, I was curious how you were planning on using this. Any details on how you were collecting addresses and planning on using them with Amazon would be a huge help.

I am in the process of adding this type of thing to a program of mine and feedback like yours would be a big help to me.

      Thanks,

      Thomas

Thomas, you should check out IMSC RapidBuilder.

It generates HTML snippets like the other AR companies which you can use everywhere to collect email addresses.

It is a Wordpress plugin though so you need hosting with this.

I looked at RadidMailer before my OP, and every thread I've read says that it is very buggy and the support is atrocious.

    Any other suggestions?

sendy.co is very easy to setup and integrates easily with amazon ses. All you need is a cheap unix vps.
What are you going to mail with SES? I have been banned for mailing pretty much anything with an affiliate link.

Sendy is awesome, but truthfully, SES has lower deliverability than many established platforms out there.

SES is okay with affiliate links, they don't care. Maybe you just didn't build up your account? or maybe you had a very high bounce rate or complaint rate.

        Hi Nameless

        Thanks for your response...
What do you mean didn't build up my account ?
I followed the exact guidlines on Sendy's manual and they dismissed my production access request with no explanation (so no, I did not have a chance to send out one lousy email nor get a complaint).... And I gave them a link to my site and all...
Are you sure because you are using them to send out emails in that niche ?
        Thanks.

Something went wrong along the way to cause Amazon to deny you. This is usually when you forget to setup bounces and complaint loops back to your server, but it could also be something else like a bad description of the emails you're going to send.

I'll give a more in depth response in a bit, if I forget please PM me and remind me. Actually, if you could, PM me the site you were using as well.

    You can also use emailjeet

But as also others before me says....With Amazonses they are very strict with people sending aggressive/deceiving subject lines. They shut down my friend.....

Same with a number of others I have heard from.

So it depend what you will need for....

I have used Sendy before. However, you can't run Sendy on a cheap hosting as the server crashes when you try sending to 50K subscribers. In my case it crashed and I was on HostGator VPS.

I have used MailGet which is pretty awesome as they are cloud hosted solution connected with SES and is cheaper that any other hosted email marketing tool.

You can check them at Email Marketing via Amazon SES | MailGet

  • SES doesnt not allow marketing emails. They will ban your account.

You are wrong here. Amazon SES allows sending marketing emails. However, just like any other email marketing tool they do not allow lots of spams.

      Check their introduction at
      aws.amazon.com/ses

      Quoting their introduction text.

With Amazon SES, you can send transactional email, marketing messages, or any other type of high-quality content and you only pay for what you use.

I always read how Amazon SES are so strict and ban IM'ers or affiliate promoters...
Any recommendations for other good SMTP servers and which sofware to use with them ?
      Thanks!

yeah emailjeet is a very good option..very easy to use...however, it is very necessary to keep your emails within spam red zones...or else any email system will ban one's account...

I can only say that with these types of application you have many options available and that is the best part of this game...

      Donald,

Take a look at this company. I haven't personally used them; however, I have heard good things about their service.

      SendGrid

      The best to you,

The only thing I'm intimidated by is the tech stuff :/

Does anyone have any experience with ElasticEmail SMTP or CritSend ?

Also, between Sendgrid and Mandrill... What's the better choice in respect to flexibility and deliverability ?

    Thanks!

Mailchamp closed my account and did not give me a reason why and did not allow me to use the account again! I was using their free account for about a month.

Maybe they decided you're an internet marketer, or they though you were doing affiliate marketing, or any one of a large number of other things for which they routinely close down accounts in spite of some of the highly misleading wording/explanations on their website ... http://www.warriorforum.com/email-ma...ml#post9689403
