Guys,

I was wondering how many people have success with Mailchimp? I am still a newbie, but do have some internet marketing/seo experience. The traffic that I'm sending to my landing page (all niche related) does not seem to want to enter in their email address. I am using Mailchimp and cannot find out a way to disable the double opt in process. Could this be the reason? I'm currently giving away a free ebook, but because of the mailchimp process users have to confirm their email subscription first.

Do I ditch mailchimp and move to another service, or is there a way to disable this confirmation email?

I did read that there might be a way to do it with the wordpress mailchimp plugin, but i have not installed it yet.

Here is what is on their site. Which is why I have never bothered with them, combined with the fact that their acceptable use policy doesn't allow affiliate marketing, along with other stuff that seems a bit extreme. I think if you use their API, that you can bypass the double optin.

All of MailChimp's signup forms require the double opt-in process. It can't be disabled, and you can't turn off the Opt-In Confirmation Email.
