Question about email marketing?

Hey all,

I want ask for some help with email.

1. I have about 200 emails so far and I haven't started to communicate with my list yet. I think I'd like 500 to consider a starting point, do you think I should start to communicate with them?

2. I have found a method where it gets me about 10 emails per day. Do you think 10 emails is a waste of time or is it better than nothing?

Thanks very much

It does not matter how many leads do you have, just try to be in touch with your clients. To generate new leads, use subscription option on your blog and share interesting blogs twice in week.

    1. Start emailing them right away. There is no reason to wait to get to 500 subscribers to start sending emails.

    2. It depends on how you get these 10 subscribers a day, and how much they cost to you. No, it's not a waste of time and you will understand this, when you start monetizing your list.

I would start emailing even if I only had one customer in my list.

You need to keep in regular contact with your subscribers, so you definitely need to start emailing as soon as possible. If you don't contact them for a while, they may forget they signed up with you, and they might possibly mark your messages as spam. So don't delay!

Are you not using an autoresponder?

I would send a welcome message as soon as they subscribe and start a follow-up sequence right away.

#1. Start right now. If you don't start nurturing them you won't have anyone left from the first 300 by the time you reach 500.

You don't need to make offers. Just give them content that solves their problems until you're ready. 2 emails a week will suffice.

#2. Yes, even if it's only 10. Ten is better that zero. You're building your list, good job, go for it!

    Consider this...

You sign up for a list, thinking you will get something of value. But all you hear is silence. Since you really do want the promised value, you contact the list owner.

He tells you that he's waiting until he has more people before he bothers to send anything out.

Doesn't that make you feel special, and all warm and fuzzy about whatever he's offering?

Whether you have 2, 200 or 2,000,000 on your list, you are communicating to a single human being within the confines of their very personal inbox. You should be communicating with each and every subscriber from Day 0.

It depends. Are those 10 people opening, reading, and engaging with your emails? Trick question, since you haven't bothered to send anything out yet.

When you do, if those ten are responsive and the effort to get them is proportional, then they're worth getting. If all they do is boost your subscriber count (and, by extension, your ESP bill), then they're a waste of time.

You have been giving advice to others about building email lists - and recommending the autoresponder you personally use....and you haven't ever emailed your own list?

Have you written any emails to load into your autoresponder? Do you understand the benefits of a 'sequential autoresponder' and the automated process of building a list that way?

It doesn't matter if you get 100 signups a day or 50 signups a week - if you aren't emailing them there is no point to building that list. Why would you wait to contact people who are signing up to HEAR from you?

If you wait till you have 500 signups to make first contact with your list - chances are your spam complaints will be excessive.

I think you should start as early as possible. Start with a small quantity, increase it daily. Work daily, I believe you will be success. Thanks for asking

You shouldn't wait to send out emails based on the number of people on your list. Those people signed up for a reason and that's because they want to hear from you. They don't know how small your list is and frankly it doesn't matter. The longer you go without sending an email, the quicker they will forget about why they signed on to your email list in the first place. I consistently sent out an email even when I had 10 subscribers. One of them actually became a paying customer.

If you don't remain in touch with your email subscribers and build a relationship then they might soon unsubscribe from the list. So don't wait and act with whatever you have now.
