MailChimp issues - are they worth sticking with?

WTF

I have a marketing automation funnel set up with MailChimp. My whole business is based on it. I use PPC/Facebook to get leads and sell them via email. We sell recruitment service and our clients include Fortune 500s so we're as clean and legit as they come.

On Tuesday my mailchimp account was suspended for terms of service violation. I have never had any issues or warnings, not one. I can only guess it is because I included a link to an affiliate site in an email template. I never sent the email and I didn't know affiliate links were not allowed. I mean, this is helping people get jobs, hardly gambling or something else shady.

I'm still on a free plan but will soon need to move onto a paid plan.

It's been over 72 hours with no response from mailchimp about exactly why I was suspended and when/how it will be resolved. My business is 100% reliant on keeping my email service live, if this is the type of service MailChimp offer their paid clients, I will need to move to someone else because I cannot risk being shut down on a whim. If I treated my clients this way I would be out of business fast.

Has anyone had similar issues? Does mailchimp always treat customers this way?

You were not 'shut down on a whim"...I know it's frustrating but claiming innocence doesn't help fix your problem.

Not sure how you included a link if you didn't send the email - but MailChimp is very clear about not allowing affiliate emails. You have to read the terms when you use any service for your business - if you are using a free version you need to be doubly cautious. MC has nothing to lose by banning a free acct.

If you use the search function, you'll find many threads about MailChimp. Your only option is to hope they will re-instate you or another AR will allow you to import your list.

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

To be honest its your fault this has happened , and I mean you did not read the TOS of what you were using ! "I didn't know affiliate links were not allowed."

Had you done you would have read about affiliate links are a no no and BTW you are not the first to be banned because of it

I would suggest that you move to another service and pay the $10 a month so this does not happen again
